+Sidd Motorsport I'm not so sure about that. Ocon is being regularly beaten by Wehrlein, but I witnessed him take Pascal (whom I hold very highly) to the cleaners in FP1 on Spa. That left quite an impression. Palmer had a great debut, P11, which is all Gutierrez can muster in a much better car. Gutierrez is hopeless, in my opinion.

appelpower1 FP1 has little meaning, i see what you mean tho but that could be due to different fuel loads and FP1 plans. Qualifying and race is where i would compare drivers. tbf to Ocon i have been harsh on him, Wehrlein has raced half a season more than Ocon, i had higher expectations of Ocon i guess.

Sidd Motorsport True, but FP1 was my first impression of Ocon. It's irrational, but that's simply my most dominant memory of him. And, let's be fair, he's only done four races in a car he never drove before. He's only been a Renault test driver before this. He needs some time.
