Just happened to check in on this old post of mine. Glad to see it is still getting interest. I sold this car back in 2015 after finishing it in 2007 I drove it for 7 years and put 70k miles on it. If it were a real Testarossa I would have spent over 60k in services during that period. I would never pass the car off as a real car and when people would ask me about it I would always let them know it was just a really good replica. I also had at the same time a Mcburnie Daytona Spyder in Black. They made a good pair. Glad to see there are a lot more viewers that appreciate the car as apposed to some of the few hater comments. Stunning!!! I would a very happy guy to own this replica. The lack of hater comments is a real testament to the details of this build. BTW haters..im NOT a pretender...just a dreamer without the means. This sure beats a 1/18 diecast and my giant 6' poster from 1988

I collect watches and I would say I don't feel like I could be true to myself and wear a fake watch. Tribute is an entirely different thing. You can get well made tributes that don't show the logo, but the millions that go into a brand, even of watches make it an insult to carry around their logo without paying full price.

Sold this car about 8 years ago. It had a 3.1ltr V-6 Engine. compartment looked like a basic Fiero, but since it was stretched had way more room to work back there. It was a great car owned it for 7 years and put 70k miles on it. The 3.1 only had about 20k on it when i sold it back in the summer of 2014.

Thanks for the positive comments. I would love to drop a bigger engine in the car, but out here in California the smog laws are to tight. So I did a 3.1 Ltr. Conversion with a few performance mods. To build a replica to this level you could spend about 50K, but the car is probably worth about 30k as it sits if I was to sell it. It was a labor of love.

I owned this car from 2007 to 2014 and finished the build. It was initially built in Texas, but when I got it I tore it down and made several cosmetic and mechanical improvements. I drove it for 70k miles which shows it was a very usable car for a replica. I have been informed the car has a new owner as of this month, but the car has been pretty beat as it has passed hands by 3 other owners since I sold it in the Summer of 2014. Hoping the new owner can bring it back to its original glory like when I owned it. We have been corresponding since I know every square inch of that vehicle and that it is his plan to make it right. one of the better replicas I've seen. The rear end is very accurate, but the front of the actual car is longer and lower. I think the mirrors are also supposed to be on a island. 50k is about what a real ferrari testarossa in fair condition costs though... but i imagine you've had it for a while now.

That's a lot! If maintenance is anything like a 328, then i can tell you it's very reasonable (2-3k a year, less if you do the work yourself). That's not accounting for major breakdowns, but that really depends on how often and how hard you drive it. I don't drive often. Had some breakage but nothing major, had a rebuilt engine when i bought it, so that helps. I'd love to own a testarossa, but i'm not sure if the maintenance for a real testarossa is affordable for mere mortals.

I did a little research over the years, and I believe it was a Ron Rossetti kit which was out of Texas. Not 100% sure to this day.
