it is probably the best downsized engine under 1.3 liter and it is out of european market now. its consumption in 160kmh is even better than 1.6 diesels.

Hi, I have a question, does this engine have a chain or timing belt? thanks
@lvcq_Ай бұрын
timing belt, but better than the one in the Ecoboost, if you keep to the service intervals, nothing will happen.

Its 3C cold, not wondering for higher fuel consuption. I`ve got 4,5l/100km at 120 on a summer night at 20C.

Wie ist das Fahrwerk eigentlich bei der Karre? Schön angenehm oder eher Straff, dass man jede kleine Bodenwelle am Hintern spürt?

I have the impression that especially with diesel engines, small displacement motors dont pay off much in terms of consumption. With low load, diesel engines are already more economical than gasoline engines who may profit from smaller motors in low load conditions. In high load conditions on Autobahn, smaller displacement doesnt make much difference anyway. The advantage of 2l diesel engines with low to medium power is longevity due to a low power-to-displacement ratio: Compare 110kW/2l diesel vs 110kW/1.5l gas or 85kW/1l 3cyl gas in popular VW group engines, for example. Small displacement or even 3cyl diesel may have an advantage in costs for the manufacturer. VW group even has switched to 2l for the small 85kW diesel in its Golf-class motors in recent times. They probably save costs by producing the same 2l engine and just limiting the power electronically. Shows they estimate little consumption advantages for their former 1.6l 85kW engine.

not with the engine which can do about 230-240kmh. but the 200ps engine does about 250-260kmh. no GSI, GSE or OPC version.

@@Howie_Dewitt. basically it proves what i was saying. from 100-140 he was going uphill on the autobahn and from 160-.. he was going downhil. thats why the consumption is so strange
