Mazda is honestly very impressive. Their exterior design is great, their interior design and perceived quality is amazing. Their paint color is outstanding and now they have decent power as well. Mazda also gets very good fuel economy in all of their cars. I daily drive a $70k+ luxury car and "maybe I should get a Mazda" usually pops up in my mind, especially when I see one on the road. They really are that nice now. Only thing they need to really update is that archaic 6-speed auto transmission and their infotainment system. An all digital cluster would be nice too, but for a $30k car, it's definitely not necessary.

Gonna be a long comment here. I just bought this car, the Mazda3 Turbo Hatchback Premium Plus Package included. Got an AMAZING deal on it, this car is MAGNIFICENT. The quality, the power, everything you get with this car, feels well worth it. Feels like a $40k+ car, truthfully. It’s such a good car. Be patient. This car has been very well received by virtually everyone other than the Mazdaspeed3 and manual hot-hatch owners. Mazda's origin is performance, if they meet the milestone they are looking for with this car, they will make a manual performance model. I guarantee you. Why do you think they debuted the Mazda3 TCR? To be fair, it did get canceled due to coronavirus, but the Mazda3 TCR's very existence as an idea shows you that performance is still on their mind, they just need the support and money to do it. Also, this is slightly unrelated, but I can also almost guarantee you that if Mazda continues to do well for the next year or two, they make a real car out of all of their RX-8/RX-7 predecessor concepts. They've been experimenting with patents for a front mid-engine rotary or inline 6 turbo sports car.

......but not available in a manual! Last gen, a friend that bought the GT trim couldn't get a manual. He dropped to the GS and added options to have a manual. A year later, the GT was available in manual. They need to stop playing games with potential buyers. And if we're going to talk statistics, how about the ones that show how many NEW cars they COULD sell if a manual was available!? Mazda3 AWD Turbo w/ manual!?!?......who needs MazdaSpeed when you have that!

Amazing car!! Just wish (minor) it also had: 1) more space (squared cargo) 2) vantilated seats [more luxuey creds] 3) upgraded tires and brake rotors for turbo AWD [simple performance upgrades] 4) nit: independent suspension :)

I think I might trade in my WRX for one of these. I always felt like I was compromising on the interior and other creature comforts with the WRX, and while the WRX is a great car, it can really beat you up sometimes. This Mazda is the car I was looking for but couldn't find when I decided to get the WRX. It just looks much more well rounded and more upscale than the WRX. Plus it's also just about as fast but with better fuel economy.

I always wanted a Subaru but down here in Mexico it is sold at premium prices so no way for me to afford one. Thanks to Mazda this car I can afford and it is amazing.

Do you set the parking brake on a manual? I'd think that setting and releasing the parking brake should just become something you do without thinking about it. I was told early on in my driving years, before I learned to drive stick, that you should use the parking brake all the time or it may not work when you need it as an emergency brake. Now that I'm driving an automatic regularly for the first time in decades, the thing I keep forgetting is to put it in park, but I have the parking brake set. 🤣
@TestDriveVideos4 жыл бұрын
Todd always sets the parking brake on a manual transmission, but rarely does with an automatic. His main issue here is the car doing something he didn't ask for. Thanks for watching!

Mazda speed was boys car that parents bought for them.

While I agree that's it was a "boys" car in that it had tons of power but zero refinement, I bought it myself so your comment holds no weight...

However the suspension is stuff. It don’t take bumps will . You will lose fillings in your teeth going over bumps. But overall it’s nice.. I just bought one.
@SWEETVENOM100 Жыл бұрын
What’s your opinion of the car now?
@nachomandetailingservices1057 Жыл бұрын
@@SWEETVENOM100 I love it. I have had no issues I don’t drive it much but when I do it’s fun. Only one thing I think is annoying and could be an issue is the battery I think is a cheap battery goes low to often. Also seeing how I don’t drive it a lot cause I have work truck I would put some street tires aka summer tires. But Mazda is top notch I always wanted a Mazda and it has not disappointed me to this date. Bought this car over a year ago I only have 3,838 miles on it. It’s plenty quick enough off the line. But dies out after 5k rpm so it’s not a screamer like I like but will beat almost anything off the line and cars will have to play catch up. It’s a fun car .

mazda and hyundai seem kinda like they have a «mercedes b4 amg» and «bmw early m» thing goin on rn
@aidensnow50172 жыл бұрын
On a performance point of view yeah kinda, Interior quality absolutely not... Hyundai's interior quality is near the bottom of the class since Chevy, Ford and Dodge stopped making cars, while Mazda interiors are punching well above their price class. It's night and day for build quality when you test drive a 3 and and Elentra back to back. Elentra and Veloster interiors are near the bottom of the class next to Corolla, even the new Nissan Sentra offers better quality and materials. Hyundai/Kia do a great job of hiding all the cheap plastic they use with tasteful lines, but that dose not detract from the fact that every manufacturer's doing more for the interior. Some enthusiast's say that doesn't matter but we all know it dose, especially if you spend alot of time behind the wheel. Id personally spend the 2-3k more for a Mazda 3 or 6 over an Elentra, Veloster, or Sonata any day. The Nissan Sentra is the slowest in its class and I'd still take that over an Elentra just for the nicer interior.
