I literally have the same model and color. I'm leasing because I can't commit. I LOVE this vehicle. It looks so much like a storm trooper. The safety features are fantastic and I'm enjoying the turbo engine. Very comfortable ride.

my only issue is that they overdid the H-thing. one reviewer counted something like 47 H's on the vehicle.

I think these are great, I'm so tired of jelly bean shaped SUVs. that look big and feel small. I love the boxy, trucky look and some of us want minivan room and utility in their sport utility vehicle. I ordered a hybrid version and can't wait to get it.

The thing I hated the most about this video is: the huge number of ads. it's annoying too much. I couldn't finish it. So please be aware of this issue next time.

We bought the 2017 lifted version of the V60. 2017 is the last year with the analog buttons before the iPads got slapped on the dash. Ours is made in Sweden and has been relatively reliable, knock on wood. Only issues have been with the electrics: one USB port and the rear hatch handle stopped working. Now, given that this new techy V60 PE is 1/2 the price of the germans, so then, is this thing made in China?

Honestly this car is exactly what I want in a plug-in hatch. Good handling characteristics, nice clean interior without being sparse, efficient, and good road trips seats. Except at this price it is far outside the range of the average buyer. I understand that the average new car is closing on $55k (USD) but this is 20k over that and nearing twice the price I would expect for a nice wagon. Unfortunately is seams on Volvo's website the only way to get a V60 is to either get the Polestar engineered for 72k or the heightened ride height cross country for 51K. Also, why on the polestar engineered for 72k can you only buy it is two shades of gray or black and white? Where is the small wagon for the people? Seriously, even a Subaru Outback is a getting up there in price for the trim you actually want. And it is a massive vehicle.

The biggest issue with the Envista is knowing that Mazda has a superior option at each price point. I'm also not a fan of the wimpy 1.2L that it has. It should be a 1.5L at the absolute minimum with the option of getting a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder 2.0L or better. It also needs to come with the same exact dash that the Envision has.

My Seal feels like a car too. A sedan. I didn't want a SUV. Easy to drive and comfortable. And looks good. OK, it's not the Performance but I like it. And it can faster than I can drive.

I know one is electric and the other ICE, as far as the rear opening or minivan thinking goes does this compare at all with the ID Buzz. And speaking of minivan shaped SUV, I wonder if this will compete with its own sibling, the Kia Carnival??? What say you?

So, here’s the thing. If it’s just about driving dynamics, go get a Type R or Elantra N and save tens of thousands of dollars. People that buy M3’s aren’t just after that. They want their friends to say “Holy crap! You got an M3?! Woah!” Nobody has ever or will ever say, “Holy crap! You bought an i4 m50?! Wow!” Probably more like “You bought a what now? For how much?!”

As far as the look/styling, especially of the back, I wonder how much our "belief system" (what we've come to think things "should" look like, based on what they've looked like before)...I wonder how much that affects our view of this (and things like the Elantra, Cybertruck, etc.). The Palisade looks more like other things, especially from the side and rear, and, in my view, looks more boring than this. While initially I was a little repulsed by the back of this, as Todd apparently still is, I appreciate that it looks different and doesn't necessarily look "bad." This suv doesn't really look like anything else, whether in Hyundai's lineup or anyone elses. I think that's a victory. And, in ten years, unless other people copy what now seems weird styling, it WILL look interesting and different. I feel like, design-wise, there are two successful ways to introduce things to people, and both are valid: Introduce bold styling that immediately makes you say "Wow that looks fantastic!" OR Introduce bold styling that makes people say "Wow...that's striking and different...but not bad...?" The former is incredibly hard to do and make something look new and not just a revision of some classic styling that's come before. The latter is difficult for the buyer because it's styling that cuts across the grain and is, initially, uncomfortable. My two cents.

My initial thought about the lockable grab handles on the side...this will probably keep the "flaps" from flopping down and staying half opened over time. So it will look better longer if you have a way of keeping the flaps "closed" when not in use.

Hyundai has said that's exactly what they did, designed the rear hatch and then started working forward. We've had our (white, LOL) Santa Fe, AWD, Hybrid, Calligraphy for 3 months now and love it. We get white because in the Oklahoma summer it helps keep the heat down. In our first three months we're averaging over 31 mpg. Hard to beat.

I’ve never overlanded. But my guess for why they allow u lock it is for if you put a strut for a tent on top in that grove, or maybe want to hook something in that and need it to stay open? But I’m just happy the designers and engineers won over the marketing and accountant guys. When they win, the products just get BETTER! Also, short ppl?
