for runners, it's more convenient to have bluetooth earbuds connectivity and music support through watch only so you dont have to run with your phone. It'd be great if that's mentioned more

I got the TicWatch Pro 5 for Black Friday at Amazon for 30% off. Battery life, Google Pay, and answering text messages from the watch were priorities for me. I saved enough to get extra watch bands and glass screen protectors. Good review, guys👍

Good review. The wildcard though are the Garmin watches. The VivoActive 5 and the Venu 3 series. Think of the VA5 as the Venu 3 Lite. All are solid sports tracking watches, are probably "smart" enough for most people, and by comparison have terffific battery life ranging in the real world from 6 or more days.

For battery life go for the watch 5 pro! If you're after a smaller and better looking watch then the pixel watch 2!

My top priorities are long battery life, readability in any situation, quick and easy operation, and small size. I don't need most of the features most smartwatches provide because I use them for really quick and simple things. That's why none of those cut it for me. After having used a Pebble Steel for a long time, I'm using a Garmin fenix 6 Pro since 1,5 years now. It's a perfect successor for the Pebble and ticks all the boxes for me. But I'm still curious and always checking what's happening around the competition. From this list, the best fit for me would probably be the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro or the TicWatch, although for look & feel, I'd prefer the small Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.

I loved my Pebble watch! I am still rocking my Gear S 3 Frontier! I would love to see a comparison of non WearOS or apple watch options. I want a dumb watch with smart features. I agree with nearly all of your priorities. Give me long battery life, different timer options, and the ability to read/respond to messages and potentially make calls and I am set. I don't need anything else.

I like the new Venu 3. It is stronger on the fitness features vs smart watch features, but it's a bit much for 450.

Actually I disagree. If you're focused on outdoor activities I would go Garmin. If not then there are others. Even at 450 it's still a strong contender for smartwatch not so much for smartwatch.

I'm just going to say, I wish there were more "activity tracker" style watches. I don't need full phone functionality. I'm fine offloading that to the phone. I don't need to take calls from my wrist. Just send me notifications, track my workouts, and give me like a week of battery life.

Good review, I'll stick with with the ticwatch pro 5, for me it's the best smartwatch on the market right now imho. Samsung can come close enough. At least for now. We will see in the future.

Solid list. Good watches are not cheap. I learnt the hard way after a cheap Firebolt invinsible watch i bought on Amazon software-crashed after two days of use.

DHRME Bro's, Since all the smartwatches in the world are not best and non of their sensors are accurate, I feel just buying a smartwatch like from Fire Boltt Expedition for just Rs.2000/- and feel the pride I own a smartwatch. Any which ways all smartwatches are not smart.
