Hey so actually there is something I believe you might have missed in this video! According to other creators the pixel watch never actually charges via wireless power share or through any other charger than the one it comes with despite showing the charging screen. Just an FYI, the battery share doesn't work. The watch doesn't use a standard implementation of QI charging. It lights up to say it's charging but then disables the feature on the phone and does nothing. In the same way you can get the animation with a Samsung or Apple watch charger.

This video was great! A lot of features was provided that I didn't even know the watch did! I know the feature is simple but love the idea of being able to use your watch to take pictures on your phone instead of having to worry about a Bluetooth remote. I have some pre-order credits that I am planning on spending but the main issue is wondering if I should just wait for the Pixel Watch 2 or see if I can catch a bigger sale on the 1st Gen Pixel watch.

I am having this issue with my new phone...spotify and media play through buds connected to the watch but calls won't...google support is clueless as to the cause because according to them it shouldn't. I have torn the internet apart trying to find a cause/fix...my verizon store is ordering another to troubleshoot....they believe it's a functionality issue and not a connection issue....

the craziest thing about the camera control is that it can connect over internet, so if you go out without your phone you can still controll your camera and see your home I guess. Or setup a super zoom shot too.

The Apple Watch is way better than the Pixel Watch. It is missing Ultra Wide Band support. Square smartwatches are better to use than cicrle smartwatches. Circle smartwatches have unused space.

I just acquired the Pixel Watch this week after using Apple Watch for years. So far, so good with the transition. I am disappointed that the Pixel Watch Alarm app is not integrated with the Android Clock app. They don't talk to each other at all.

Great video! Any ideas why Google chose to restrict the blood oxygen reading to automatic & only during sleep? They also buried it deep inside the Fitbit app. I was disappointed to find out I can't check it anytime I want. Also, not having things like ECG and blood oxygen available in watch face compilations for quick & easy access is a bummer. I don't understand why Google left these out, especially considering that all their competition have it. 🤔

Really great video, informative and entertaining. With all the amazing features this looks like a great watch to get, but I had to pass over it due to the lack of battery. I really like that remote camera feature, reminds me of using the Galaxy Note Pen to take photos, but that's not enough of a wow to make up for getting 10-40 hours of usage per charge and then the subscription fees on the Pixel. I ended up going with a Garmin that could get 2 weeks of usage on a single charge. It's a different beast from the Pixel. Garmin is a fitness watch that has a few smartwatch features rather than a smartwatch that can do some fitness like the Pixel. A lot of what the Pixel can do are just repeats of phone features, so I don't really feel that I'm missing out. Then on top of that, all the analysis of the fitness data you get with the Pixel is locked behind a Fitbit paywall. Garmin gives you double the features and no paywall.

@@boodesultan12 My prediction: Google may fix the Pixel Watch's battery life via software or in the next Gen, but I really doubt they will stop their Fitbit monthly sub cash cow. I refuse to buy something but have to pay monthly to use all of its features. Honestly I'd rather spend $1000 on a Garmin and never pay a cent again than pay $350 on a watch then pay $80 every year.

Something happened with my Pixel watch (presumably after an update) where now I can't play music on the Pixel watch by itself because Spotify asks me to pick a Bluetooth device that isn't the watch itself. I haven't found any workaround for this, and forums that are asking the same question as me all get an answer from Google saying it's an intended behavior when this didn't happen when the watch launched, so what gives???

About battery share, Pixel phones come with automatic battery share which allows to start battery share if you have your phone flipped around and something on it in charging position..
