Just lug nuts on a car, but it was noticeably faster than the 911. I never use the low setting on my dewalt high torque because its slow af, but the 1 setting on the 921 was still zippy and pretty much impossible to overtighten a customers wheel nuts. I mostly bought it to cage airbrakes when I'm towing a heavy truck because it fits in between the brake chamber and the suspension with an extra long 3/4 socket. So then I'm looking for the 60lb ratchet, and stumbled on a combo deal, the 911 w/ the 12v ratchet, 2 batteries and charger for $138 at lowes. What am I going to do? Lower power 1/2 drive Higher power 3/8 drive. The 3/8 will loose torque via 1/2 adapter, so I'm thinking of a 3/8 socket set going up to 24mm. (milwaukee packout set). Do I keep both, or what? Wondering if there's any advantage to keeping the 911 1/2 drive for the sockets larger than 24mm, which will have to be in 1/2 size.

I've been looking at that atomic and their new battery. But then I have that aircat 1056-xl, I paid $99 CAD for it. Its small but it still doesn't have the power I need a lot of the times. The toughest nuts and bolts I deal with are suspension, brake anchor, motor mounts, crank pulley, and differential bolts. 90% of those I can get my IR2235 into those tight spots to remove. Hell my IR 2235 with a 1/2" - 3/8" universal swivel adapter will open nuts and bolts my aircat 1056-xl can't with just a straight socket on it. And then there is the speed of my IR2235. 2-3 hits from the hammer and it will loosen anything. When I need to do something simple like a tire rotation sometimes I don't even hear the hammer hit its already just spinning the lug all the way off. Even the Big Milwaukee/DeWalt 1/2" full size impacts are slower at spinning lug nuts off.

Highly encourage all of you to write to your favorite tool brands and let them know what kind of tools you want, and want kind of performance you need. I've write servel times to dewalt to come out with tools similar to Milwaukee impacts. I'm a fan of both Milwaukee and dewalt tools. I think both are great, I'll be buying these as soon as I see them in store.

Honestly all the major brands make decent tools for the most part. It kind of depends on which tools you want, how much you'll use them and your budget. Whichever brand you choose, try to choose so that you can get everything you want from just the one brand. That way you'll only need one brand of batteries. I have milwaukee tools and have had good luck with them but a guy i work with uses ryobi which are less nice but much cheaper and he's also happy. Another guy i know has all rigid and he's happy with his as well.

8ah is the way to go. Man caver tools proved 8ah is more powerful then 6ah flexvolt whether its a power detect tool or flexvolt advantage due to 21700 cells. 9ah or 12ah should beat the 8ah due to 15 21700 cells vs 10 but its really the cells that matter more then dewalt marketing bs

How much would you lose if you get a -923 and use a 3/8“ to 1/2“ adapter? There's a $60 difference between the -921 and -923 if you find the right deal.
@jbboozer6726
@jbboozer6726 Жыл бұрын
I got the 923 for $105 Then, needing the ratchet, found a combo deal for the 12v 60ftlb ratchet with the 911 and 2 batteries w charger for $138. That's (way) cheaper than any ratchet tool only deal. So obviously I can't simply return 1. 923 = More power but 3/8 drive, sockets bigger than a 24mm 3/8 drive will need adapter. I have the Titan low profile 1/2 adapter. The 911 down on power, but already with the 1/2 drive. Is there any benefit to keeping both of these, just to have that 1/2 drive without adapter? I might wind up giving it to the kid next door, his dad is neck deep in Rigid, so that would be funny. They were also giving me hell couple weeks back saying I should get a hercules ultra, those stubbys won't take lugs off lol 😆 And tbh, I borrow stuff from him all the time

I'd like to see a flexzilla impact gun tested. It's a compact impact gun that is sold as a kit with V-style fittings, a nice hose, and impact gun for $100 on sale sometimes. It hits pretty good imo, and I use it more often than my Aircat. I'd send it in for testing if your interested. They rate it at 800 ft-lbs "nut busting" torque :). Probably half that though

I have a question on the 921B. Why do you give 100 on torque claims when it claims 300 max and 450 nut busting. Didn't it hit 319 on nut busting? Thanks.
@TorqueTestChannel
@TorqueTestChannel 2 жыл бұрын
Nut busting is loosening. We measure in reverse and forward, but both still tightening. You cant precisely measure loosening, despite it sounding like a simple process. DeWalt's breakaway figure is actually measured with a strain gauge to digitally measure peaks in each blow, that spits out a number. Brands all do it different.
