had one for two months now, love it. i put a minnion dhf on the front and aggressor on the rear straight away, aswell as changing the dropper lever.

The spec on that bike is phenomenal! Fox Factory suspension and XT drive train and brakes are choice picks

@Flow Mountain Bike sorry but how this bike is ''more'' slacker when it has same 67 head angle like previous model...only fork travel is longer by 10mm

The trance always seems to get a better review in NZ and Australia rather than Europe and US. Is that because of the costs? Everyone Ive ever talked to loves the trance.

They do seem to be better value in Aus/NZ than elsewhere, true. We'd imagine that has something do with it certainly. The brand is very strong in Aus, and pricing has played a role in getting a lot of people on board Giants over the years.

Flow Mountain Bike same in asia pacific too. Giant undercuts the other brands by $1000. The biggest value right now is the Trance 2 2017 at just $2000 US from where in from.

How does it compare with last year's model? I'm planning on replacing my 2015 for a 2017 one.

What would you say if the shop said "we'll put a 75mm stem on it to make it fit you - give some time but you'll get used to it". I'm thinking I should be on the next size up. Yes? I've just forked out $6K for my "perfect" bike and it feels anything but with the longer stem.

We'd say you should be on the next size up! If anything, most people are opting for a shorter stem on the Trance, not longer.

2300 for the carbon frame, 3100 for ibis pivot transition frame of basically same weight,etc. Hmm ill take the giant and use the money saved for a 2018 factory fox 36 fork, booya!
