Hi, i like this bike looks nice, seen it for £650. I dont really ride bikes but thought i should have a good bike for best experience & getting fitter. Is there a weight limit for rhis bike? Im 21 stones body weight. Would be riding on road and countryside sometimes. Just want to get fitter and enjoy the process of doing so Any advice would be greatly appreciated 👍

Great review. I bought the 2023 Scalpel 2, which seems to be exactly the same as the one you are testing. My question is about fit. My height is the same as yours, but I feel that I would be better off with a L size because I lean to much forward, and on descending it would be hard for me to prevent flipping forward when dropping a 1/2 meter rock. In the video I noticed that your head is also overs the handlebars, so what is your opinion about the size fit? BTW, I replaced the stem to a 90cm with 22% rise, so that it forces me to move my sitting position backwards.

Hi will, is the Epic 2021 a contender of the WC ? The Epic 8 looks more like a new version of Epic Evo, but the Epic 7 looks more fun, wich one do you recommand for the best mix between XC, fun and a little of confort ?

It's a great bike - but you start off comparing to the Levo SL and there's a 7+ lb difference there, maybe stretching the "not much heavier"? It's entirely possibly that the light and traditional ebike categories are getting mixed, but still 7 lbs isn't nothing even with a motor.

Hi there! Did you get the chance to check out the full review? We went into quite a lot of detail about how the new Epic rides compared to the previous Brain-equipped Epic, as well as the Epic World Cup; flowmountainbike.com/tests/2024-specialized-epic-8-review-s-works/ I think that should help to answer your question, but if you've got any specifics you're curious about just let me know! Look, I love the format of this travel series, but to be fair, there is not quite enough detail given and so far, none of these videos has driven me to put my bike in a bag and travel. For the expense of sending a crew, you should in my mind, have done a more detailed job. B roll of drinking wine and white water rafting makes p 25% of this short video.

So good review ! Do you think the previous Epic is still a good value or the new one is far better ? Because I am attracted by the Epic 7 S-works with the Brain system, I want a bike that is a rocket in climb but still confortable when riding slow and also on rocky ground. Thank you
@FlowMountainBikeYouTube
@FlowMountainBikeYouTube 13 күн бұрын
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the review! I think the previous Epic is still a fantastic bike, and looking at the Specialized website it appears that there are some hefty discounts available at the moment. Aside from the SWAT storage, the Brain suspension is the biggest differentiator between the two bikes. If you're after a firm, nearly-locked out platform then the Brain damper will give you that while still opening up the suspension on bigger hits. I found the rear shock to be more seamless overall on rough terrain, whereas the fork tends to transmit more feedback. One thing to bear in mind is that if you did buy the previous Epic, it is possible to remove the Brain damper from the fork and replace it with a regular SID damper. You could also remove the rear Brain shock and damper entirely and replace it with a regular shock by using the BikeYoke adapter; bikeyoke.com/en/yoke-ep03/ep03 Obviously that would require a decent investment of money, but it's good to know you have options if you ended up not enjoying the Brain system. Hope that helps, but just yell out if you have any other questions and I'll do my best to answer them for you! [Wil]

I bought the RC5000 model and have upgraded almost all the parts and it's been great for the most part. From the box I've been having problems with the headset which seemed to come with a bearing too small for the headset cup. Also I have this creaking when I put power down on the pedals that will pop up and stick around for a few weeks before disappearing again. Aside from those issues which I'm currently trying to get sorted, the bike goes real good and has helped me get a few podiums.

The seat tube is on the longer side for what we'd like to see from a modern e-MTB these days. As mentioned in the video, there's also an issue with the insertion depth due to the bent profile of the seat tube. For riders with shorter legs, it's worth bearing this in mind. [Wil]

What is the resistance like after you get above the speed limiter? What does it pedal like if you have a flat battery? Can you get a speed chip for it or delimet it in the app for use on private land. If not I would never have one it's a total waste of a 120nm motor to do 15.5mph (it's like having a dodge viper in a country that has a speed limit of 20mph it's a total waste). Looks a nice bike and motor though thank you for your review and keeping us up to date with tec.

Like most modern e-MTB motors, the Avinox doesn't produce much drag at all when not in use. Of course it's still a near-21kg bike, so it's comparatively hard going when riding it without the motor. [Wil]

The Amflow used here was pre production before the general release as a test bike. The earlier test bikes had a small amount of motor rattle when descending. After the feedback DJI intervened and addressed this minor issue before general release. I have one and I can categorically confirm that mine has no knocking when on the trails, nothing when climbing or descending. It was due to a s all amount of backlash from the chainring when the chain was taking up the slack. Evident in the prelauch models buy twisting the chainring by hand and it had a little float. Mine does not move at all. All the new bikes delivered DJI have addressed this. Goes to show how they will back up their product. This is an incredible bike and better than most will expect. DJI have done what a lot of the brands haven't. Listened to feedback and sorted. Buy one if you can, you will not be disappointed 👍

Funnily enough, DJI provided us with a replacement motor early on in the test period, which I swapped with the original. We were told the new motor was up to date but it still produces some rattling on the descents. Good to hear yours has been quiet though! [Wil]

Nothing new here, just more same same. A short boost mode is annoying when it turns off, it’s better to have a constant output, a display is nice but it doesn’t improve the ride. There are many batteries with that density these days. Etc etc. lots of good options on the market these days as are many reliable options. But hey,one more why not.
