For the first couple years of my riding lessons I had quite a few falls with same same helmet that we had gotten second hand, my mom said that I wasn’t allowed to get a new helmet until this one had been completely broken in half. We went to the doctor after a completely unrelated fall and turns out I had had several concussions because of my helmet that my mom didn’t bother to replace😅

I ALWAYS thankfully wear a helmet, one time my horse just slipped away with his hind leg and we both fell. We were just in a jogg trot nothing fancy or anything.
