I’ve been following tested for maybe 3 years, and I started researching lenses a couple of weeks ago. Specifically cinema lenses. This video was made exactly for me. Thanks!

The SLR Magic CINEs look GORGEOUS. B&H is having a sale on them right now and I just got the $700 17mm lens for only $300, an absolute steal. I literally saw it and bought it within three minutes.

Hey! I'm on the fence about slr cine. So far how is your experience with them? Pros? Cons?

Hope to see a comparison between SLR and Meike cine lenses

That was a very helpful discussion. Right now I'm comparing the SLR magic primes to the Zhongyi Mitakon Speedmaster primes for MFT. with either of those offerings, can't go wrong at this budget level I think. By all accounts, both sets look pretty solid and have that nice uniformity about them so you can hit the ground running without too much re-configuring between lenses.

Did you reach any conclusions between the SLR Magic and the Zhongyi cine lense for MFT? I'm debating between these myself. Thanks!

I recently got the 6mm Laowa lens which is really wide and rectilinear. The 14mm lens is what I use for essentially 97% of what I do, since the size enables me to use it at all. I do have a few old lenses which I adapt on occasion, but I am missing something between. 14 and 40 so most likely a 20mm lens

There are quite a number of cine lenses for MFT, I would love to see you review as many as the companies would be willing to loan for the reviews.

Definitely piqued my interest. I jumped into 4/3rds a year ago as my first proper detachable lens camera system and have been hooked on the quality improvement in my videos. I started with a GX-85 and recently got a GH5 as well. Finding a wide angle has been tough but that 10mm looks like what I need. Definitely a step up from the Handycams I was using.

Great review. Looking at my camera pack and it’s ever increasing weight due in no small part to my slowly increasing collection of Rokinon MFT lenses. My question is specifically for sit down interview filming, the Rokinon lenses are, in my opinion, superior to the LUMIX lenses for this purpose, the color and feel are very good and I use them whenever I can. How did you find the SLR Magic lenses for this? It would be nice to reduce the travel weight eventually. Incidentally I am still using the discontinued JVC LS300 over the GH cameras I have for interviews. Much better ergonomics and convenience.

How do these lenses compare to the slr magic hyper primes for mft camera that open up to t/0.95?

10:20 Yes but Rokinons are the cine lens equivalent of Dog poop. I'm an industry 1st AC and have pulled on hundreds of cine lenses and they are absolute garbage, and now that options like this, DZOFilm and 7Artisans all have solid budget cine lenses, there's no reason to ever look at Rokinon ever again (or it's polished turd version, Xeen) We're finally past those dark days, and there are actual good options for the money. No more stupid lack of competition that allows trash to survive

We have these at Toyota NA HQ and we hate them, they flare too much, and even come with a card in the case stating that they flare really bad, so you have to close down the aperture to avoid it, so as far as i'm concerned it's false advertising if you have to close them down to get a useful image if I bought them to be T1.8... We. have them in E-Mount for Fx9's and they equally flare as bad.

This is why I think Adam Savage needs his own channel not related to tested because this has nothing to do with him and yet a video showed up with Adam Savage tested as the Creator
@kicka552 жыл бұрын
And you think Adam would edit his own videos or what? It has always been a team effort so why not show the people behind the scenes too. You seem quite naive.

Any video with him has his face in the thumbnail or his name in the title, or both, if you only want to see videos featuring him that's what to look for.

zander, think about this: every time you see Adam on tested, this guy is responsible for you seeing him in all his glory. every single time. And tbh, while tested is "Adam Savage's" it isn't only brought to you by "him". So many talented people are working together to bring Adam to you. Furthermore, can we just say this once and for all, Mythbusters is a show from the past! A great show, to be fair, but still one that is from the past. And, as any reputable scientist will tell you, you can't travel back in time. Personally, I love things like this. A breath of fresh air from all the "making a new tool holder for my shop" episodes. A wonderful, behind the scenes, look at literally how the show gets made. So let my comment be a counterpoint to yours. Please, DO NOT make a new channel with just Adam Savage's content. It IS NOT needed or necessary, and as far as I am concerned, not wanted -dh
