Concept artist and sculptor Johnny Fraser-Allen visits Adam's cave for the first time, and brings along creatures and landscapes from his tabletop miniature builds! Johnny walks Adam through his origin story, how he created the fantasy world of The Gloaming while working at Weta Workshop, and how he's bringing tabletop gamers into that story.

Love your work Johnny. I used to cast drive in the Wellington film business, and never got tired of hanging at the workshop waiting for the actors and VIPs to come back from their tours, their excited discussions filling the car on the way back to Stone St. I feel honoured to have my surname as one of your creatures. 🤩

I used Milliput as a naive teenager 'sculpting' better bases for Citadel miniatures back in the mid-late 80s. What a beautiful video. Fantastic editing, amazing content and two awesome presenters. I think this is one of the best tested videos to date. Totally blown away by the open discussion of how the models are made. Just wow. Can you tell I liked this one. Lol.

I’m glad to live in a world where two grown-ass men can chat and giggle about made up fantasy worlds and painted miniatures. I wish more people had that same chance to pursue what they love. Everything looks amazing

This reminds of old/traditional Swedish Christmas decorations, for example the "Tomte" (the nordic Santa, a little grey bearded man / gnome guarding the farm), which they make out of pine cones, stones, wood and felt objects, e.g. the cap, coat and beard. Usually made by some artful aunt and then inherited in the family for generations... Nordic mythological creatures was not little froggy things, more outgrowths of the forest itself, made of moss, logs, boulders... Look at art by John Bauer..
