So often do we see interviews with cast members and creative directors, it's such a breath of fresh air to see some attention paid to some of the other work that goes into creating a collaborative piece of work such as a movie. Thanks Adam for taking the time to conduct this interview and thanks to Bruce for having this discussion with him.

Bruce Brownstein is such a soft spoken, confident, and wholesome guy. I detect some kind of accent too. He has a great story telling voice that just takes me back to a child listening to my grandfather tell me stories. These little behind the scenes videos of filiming production have been awesome. Showing the general world what it's like behind the scenes of major film productions. It's an entire army of a world in of it self to just get the heroes filmed on screen!

I'm from Calgary! As a kid in Scouts Canada there, I participated in this annual event called "The Great Escape" styled after the WWII movie by the same title featuring Steve McQueen. The older kids would go out and try to chase down the younger ones in the middle of the night in maybe a dozen square kilometers of pasture and harvest hay field in a massive and difficult game of tag. It's a great game! The farmers there are really nice about letting people use their land for things like this and shooting movies set in the American west. In fact, most westerns are shot around Calgary nowadays.

The one odd choice was that in teh movie all the local people characters called the owner character "the Dirt Farmer", because "he never grew anything and the whole farm was dirt". ig thing about that. Yet the farm set itself was clearly a well-tended cornfield surrounded by other well-tended fields. Seemed like a strange inconsistency in the storyline.

They really nailed the look. Having grown up and lived on the Prairies here in Canada, I have seen a thousand farms that look just like that, nothing seemed artificial about it. That barn is really what makes it work, the way the roof is caving in but it is still hanging on - many films would have done it with a full, solid roof but if it is supposed to be that old and clearly not being maintained, it should look like it is ready to collapse at any minute.

It's about as simple as you might expect, actually... Bulldozers, bucket loaders, dump trucks, and time, lol. You plow the road up with a dozer and truck it away- often to be compressed as filler in the base of another construction project- and then truck in normal dirt to fill what used to be a road and is currently a trench half a meter deep. Lastly someone comes through with either slabs of sod or the seeds for some other growth, and then you let nature take over for the rest.
