its really cool. man, i would love to see a model of it done on this scale, but made out of real materials, so metal body, rubber tyres, glass windows, leather seats with real stitching, maybe even a small screen like what your phones made from so you can have the numbers change for the time travel. tiniest working keyboard for keying it in, brass working alarm clock, glass tubes in the flux capacitor, miniaturised real working delorian engine all hand machined, actual time travel and so on. lol. but you would have to be a crazy person to take on such a project.

When I was a teen, in 1968,....I got a 1/6 scale model of a Formula 1 race car, it had a highly detailed, exposed engine, and wires that went to all the spark plugs, working shocks & springs, real rubber tires. All sorts of cool parts and removable panels. The fun is building it,....for added fun I'd play sound effects recordings of engines revving,...race track sounds, while assembling it. Then the dilemma of where to best display it, and which your friends will be allowed to touch it. It was sturdy, but not enough for rough-housing with it. It was also a magnet for dust,....so keep soft, clean, hobbyist brushes around for delicate dusting, & canned air,....then deciding whether it will need a clear plastic enclosure, to protect it. ( That would require me creating one) Maybe consider suspending it with fishing line, from the ceiling. FUN!

I think with that level of detail in the interior, they should make a cinematic video of it with a diorama set of one of the scene from the movie. And do it from the pov of a 1/6th scale Marty, especially when it enters the interior, like Marty being in the car and looking around the interior and then looking in front and see Adam's giant head illuminated only by the light from it's head lamp.

Since I know you guys have no problem with taking things apart and tinkering, would love to see y'all attempt to mod the lights. The LEDs used for the headlights, taillights, interior gauges, and Flux capacitor are all the wrong color. Should be warmer like halogen/incandescent bulbs not the cool hyper white LEDs. I'm getting one and interested to see if anyone figures out a way to fix that

Perhaps a translucent paint on the bulbs if you can get to them reasonably easy.

@aestheticstorm I was thinking about maybe some sort of transparent film or something to go into the headlight housing. Which isn't really ideal as it may wind up being visible. It's so annoying that a company that claims to pay so much attention to detail did this on TWO iterations of this model. And some of their other vehicles use correct color lighting...

@@Ricardo-cl3vs Well, there is a pretty huge human component to these sort of collectibles. I once took a tour of McFarlane Toys a few years ago and almost all their staff are either sculpting & designing new models, or they're hand painting the final product. The only part of the process where items are produced in bulk, is the items themselves, however all painting and assembly is done by a human. No robots. When you pair that with the actual Licensing deal.... things get expensive REAL quick. They build just enough to fulfill pre-orders, then they make enough for online orders and they keep a few to sit on a shelf for a rainy day. They set a limit of production units, save for any extra parts for any warranty claims and even those who will eventually break their toys. And then thats it. Once that production limit has been reached - they stop making more until there's one day where they get a new license that allows them to produce more. Its why a lot of these toys/collectibles are always sold out on their websites. They make just enough to satisfy their production costs which is why you're spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on them. If you dont buy them when they're available for pre-order - you're never getting one or you're paying scalped prices.

Really Adam?!? 3 whole seperate friends that own deloreans?!? Wow you are soo cool, i hope i can have 3 seperate friends when i grow up, i dont even care if they have deloreans. Such a stupid thing to brag about... and seperate friends? As opposed to what? Silly man. Did you actually pay 900$ for that toy or was it free?

Beautiful! But the clear plastic simulating the windows look tacky. They could have used actual gorilla glass. Safety features use a protective layer so if the glass breaks the pieces are not exposed and cut fingers.

Great video as always fellas. But there are some major issues with this to paint colours not being correct to lights behind the left hand drivers seat not moving. Very poor

Awesome model, though Adam is too heavy handed! i would be delicately holding and moving this model, its not a $10 toy!

The Eaglemoss 1/8 Delorean is more acurate in dimentions. This one has some ugly lines in it. Trust me i know, got a Delorean myself

Can the hood be easily detached? I’d order one to take the hood to fanexpo in Philly for autographs. But I’d rather not carry around the entire model.
