Testicular Cancer and Silicone Prosthetics my Experience

Thank you so much for sharing. I'm a mum that needs to do as much research for my 18 yr old son regarding a testicular prosthesis. He hasn't had cancer but had his left testes out at 3 yrs old as his testicle hadn't descended so after investigation it was decided that as it hadn't formed properly and was a tiny mass that it should be removed as a preventative cancer measure. We have never talked about it in depth but have always asked if everything is ok down there as obviously I stopped seeing him nude from age 10/11, but as of last week I decided to open up the conversation and reassured him that depending on his feelings that he could in fact think about a prosthesis. He then immediately opened up with great vulnerability saying that he has always felt self conscious and has been mentally affected - especially in recent years as he obviously is body conscious regarding girlfriends etc. We are in London so I am researching as much as I can and have seen a few KZbin videos with testimonials like yours but all cases have involved cancer. My son has never known what it is like to have a full scrotum so I am sure at first, if he did finally get the procedure done, that it would feel quite strange, weight-wise. I have researched all that is involved and read quite a few negative opinions similar to yours, meaning the height and size. Your scenario was terrible but I am so pleased and relieved for you that you had it redone and all is as good as you would hope now. Finding an experienced surgeon is obviously very very important. I realise nothing is perfect as it is an alien object in your body but I obviously hope my son's experience won't have any complications. I mate I’ve had mine put in for 4 days not and it looks a lot higher than my real testicle. They said to massage it down and tug it but wasn’t sure if that’s right and what you did

I'd wait a little while before trying to massage it down since your body is still healing. Mine did drop a little, but it's still higher than the other one. It's something I've accepted, and I don't mind it anymore.
