Hearing Mr. Craft talking about Igor Stravinsky, it really set in place how good of a friendship and companionship they had together. I know that they made a great team, and Robert took really good care of Stravinsky in his (Stravinsky's) final days. This name will be remembered for all eternity. Igor Stravinsky will go down as one of the most well-known and most prolific composers to have ever lived. I was born towards the end of the 20th century, so being born in the same time frame of all these wonderful people, it's an honor. May Robert Craft and Igor Stravinsky rest in peace. Their music will strive for as long as music shall live.

A very moving video, as was Allen Shawn's "The Genius of Robert Craft," New York Review of Books, January 14, 2016, which referred to this video. We have lost a very great man. But he has gone where he longed to go that April day in 1971. We now have another reason to visit Venice. Jonathan Brown, Canberra.

What a moving tribute to Robert Craft, one of the most remarkable people I have ever met, and a man to whom our debt in so many ways is incalculable. Without Craft our musical heritage would be enormously poorer - and he has had to put up with an appalling amount of abuse

I disagree. This is the man who claimed Stravinsky was arrested for the 7th chord change in the Star Spangled Banner for the BSO and used the passport plaqard for 7 years ahead as the proof. He was a vulture right until the end.
