What a beautiful car. Definitely would be in my dream garage. In the day, however, I always supported the Capris as I thought that the BMW homologation concept of “aero in the boot” was bending the rules!

Love the 'foot cam', Jake your technique appears to be impeccable. I'd have balls it up on the way into 'one' because I'd have lost my mind listening to one of the best noises the world has ever seen. I hope the GTR gets the same treatment on the way to the local roundabout...

That was the year when Walkinshaw/Hezemens won in the Green Schnitzer CSL beating, the 2 Jaguar XJC’s that were very fast but just too heavy and thirsty. I saw the remaining Jag, driven by Andy Rouse lose it at Abbey late on, trying to catch the BMW. By 77 the BMW CSL in Group 2 trim had a 3.2 motor and more conservative wheel arches. I also saw the Orange CSL driven by Derek Bell and Harold Ertl win the 73 TT. The car in the feature was driven by Brian Muir in that event which was run in 2 parts.
