I'm 71 now but when I was a boy in the late 50s and 60s I used to enjoy riding around with my Uncle on his Tractor or The Doodlebug as we called it. It was from the 1920s with steel wheels on the back and Uncle Harold had several home made implements for it including a cultivator similar to yours. That Doodlebug still runs and a few years ago I took my Daughters and Son for a ride on it. Thanks for showing us your piece of History.

That really is awesome! My cultivator is 3pt hitch is tricky to keep from hitting plants whereas you have much more control. Those equipment breakdowns are the biggest reason I don’t want to farm for a living! Looks really good bro!!!

Yeah having a 3 point hitch in the middle is really handy! Now it’s time to collect a bunch of small implements. Thanks Micah!

Not sure what tractor you run. But there are stabilizer bars that you can add to 3pt.hitch to tack out side to side sway.

Jared, I like all your stuff, I also have a thomas bilt tractor that I went through some of the same problems you are having. These are neet tractors with loads of potential. I would like to show you what I have made mine into. Great job keep it up.

They are great tractors, I’m going to make more videos on it in the future. If you want to pictures of what you’re doing with your tractor you can email me at BrubakerTube@gmail.com

Maybe you should have plows to cover the back tractor tire tracks. Just an idea.

Concerning if there is a alternate oil to Type F: I would contact Allen a dealer listed on the Tuff-Bilt website; he is located in NC. He has been a dealer and parts supplier for Tuff-Bilt and Power King for over 30 years. My Tuff-Bilt is older than yours having electric actuators on the 3-point hitches. My tractor recently had a failure of the adapter that connects the hydraulic motor output to the 3-speed transmission. Replacement adapter is in the mail to me. Nice video!

Never crossed my mind that there might be a replacement, I talked to Allen once when I ordered bearings and bushings for the steering box. Good luck on your tuffbilt they’re awesome little machines.

That's just about the right tool for that job, it looks like. I like unique ag equipment like that.
@Jared-Brubaker Жыл бұрын
It sure is. They say it handles a mid mount grader blade really well too, like a small road grader.

I use my Tuff-Bilt to plow snow with the blade on the front hitch. Tractor will move more snow than expected. We do not get a lot in southern Indiana.

I have a 1938 Allis Chalmers B that I use 10 weight hytrans hydraulic oil. I bet you can too. $70 / 5 gallons. Nice video, thanks

My grandfather father and I would go back and hand plant the spots that didn't fill in. A couple weeks apart never really hurt anything.

2g’s hardly buys a lawn mower these days…. And the new ones fall apart in a few years… If I had a little tractor like that I’d be beating the weeds on old homesteads looking for a potato planter and harvester!
@Jared-Brubaker Жыл бұрын
I’m definitely going to be collecting implements now! I’ve got a small plow, a seed planter and a 4’ bush hog.
@tcmits3699 Жыл бұрын
Your son will probably be offered more than that when he's farming. PS tell him not to sell it. That little tractor w/HF motor is like "money in the bank". I'd rather be nickeled and dimed with that tractor anyday. Thanks for sharing 👍

Type F fluid is roughly $6 / gallon at my local Walmart. Which is still too high for my taste.
