HELLO FRIENDS!! so, in the middle of this weeks live stream our power cut out, and we had to start a new stream. so we stitched the two streams together, and you can watch them both here! it was a wild ride getting the to the finish line with these custom pasta makers, so apologies if we seem crazy - it WAS crazy lol. quick note: tyler does not know why you put salt into pasta, though that is not what caused the surge protector to go out. hope you guys enjoy the chaos, and we'll see you guys next week! xoxo, saf

Hello! To answer the penguin tooth question, penguins do not have teeth! But they DO have spiny papillae (sort of like spikes made only of flesh, not bone) on their tongues, the roofs of their mouths, and somewhat into their throats! This serves both purposes mentioned by Saf and Tyler, to "blend" up a fish that is being swallowed whole, and to make it difficult for a live fish to swim out of the bird's mouth. Much love from a zoo employee!

Holy crap THANK YOU for restoring a bit of my faith in humanity. I was triggered to see nobody mentioning that ridiculous claim! I wouldn't be afraid of the room, I'd be afraid of the amount of voltage you're putting through a single outlet in the future. Having a surge protector doesn't actually protect your internal wiring, it protects surges for what's going into it, and that's just for the power strips that are actually surge protectors. Also, a different outlet doesn't always mean a different fuse, so you need to be careful how much power you're running through a single circuit, which means you need to know which outlets belong to which circuits on your breaker. Another thing to keep in mind is the power cord/surge protector you're using. Make sure it's got the correct wire gauge rating as well. Luckily, since circuit breakers are intended mostly to prevent house fires, thus regulating the power going through your home wires, you'll avoid that, but you could have another power outage if you do a stream like this again. Those machines and that stovetop probably used quite a bit, and it sounds like you had them all running off of the same circuit.

@ACWells133 жыл бұрын
Commenting to boost this! You should definitely avoid overloading a single outlet. It's why you're not supposed to plug a splitter in to a splitter! Certain household items with a large electricial demand shouldn't be run simultaneously on one socket with other high demand items (although it's usually OK to run them one at a time through a splitter as long as the total load isn't too high)
@emzzy153 жыл бұрын
Yes!! This needs more attention!! I was thinking the same. As far as I know they do the streams in a house. So most probably the circuits are not meant to have so many kitchen gadgets up and running at once (kettle, electric stove 3 pasta makers) + all the lights and cameras. Be more careful guys. In the worst worst scenario this can cause a house fire

Its hard not to get stressed when there's a lot of electronics that was affected by the blackout, which obviously is an important thing when streaming, imagine trying your best to bringing back the power of those three machines, lighting and everything, so you kinda need to give them a breather, because if I were in that position and immediately need to get my game on again for the stream I would not be able to function properly.

Technically green tea does have health benefits but not from the small amount that would be in noodles. The salt method is a myth-it doesn’t speed up the boiling process. It actually takes a bit longer for it to boil when you add salt. The reason you add salt it purely for flavor. 👍🏻

Yeah I've never ever seen my Nonna or my Babbo (grandma & father) add salt when they make pasta. Ever in my life. I fear my Nonna would slap me with a spoon if I did so.

Too bad it cut off when it did and not earlier when they, full grown adults, were awkwardly claiming that penguins and chickens have teeth.

@@Lindseyisloony don’t be rude, they didn’t know and that’s okay.

@@Lindseyisloony and penguins have soft papillae in their mouth which are keratin spikes and ducks have sedated notches in their mouth called lamellae. I could see how they could be confused for sharp enamel teeth.
