Thanks for the high-speed video. It helps really get a better perspective of how. you pick your lanes and have to plot it out. I'm guessing after a few more runs on this lot the team will have a coordinated dance together where everyone rakes to a certain area, and then someone else pushes it off. But what a process!

After growing up and living in Ohio for 45 years, I decided that I had had enough of winter, so I moved to Arkansas. We might get a snowstorm like that maybe once every 5 years. But if we wait a day or two, it turns 60 degrees and melts. But there is something quite satisfying about watching snow plowing. Enjoyed that video

Wow. This is very interesting. I contacted Snopower a year ago about putting a live cutting edge on the pull plows to improve the scrape based on your reviews and your praise for the sectional pushers. From what they said it sounded like the Metalpless patented design limited their own options for developing a spring style live edge. Interesting to see what they came up with. Hope it works well and is reliable.

Great job Stan . Upstate NY , we’re always behind the snowplow technology for some reason here in the northeast USA. ITS 3 am Today is a light ice event for a few hours turning to rain by mid day I got up to see if it’s slippery yet,I’m retired but work the winter storms to help.Local town highway dept. We have60 miles of mostly country roads with 4 10 wheel dumps, and a single axle dump that helps all 4 routes on steep hills and bad spots with straight run salt . The other trucks mix 2 or 3 buckets of salt with sand .anyway I love seeing the new stuff you show us ! Merry Christmas to you all ! Looks like I’ll be working for a few hours the rain should kill the ice by midday……I hope !….

Stan, I don't know how to say this politely, but you need to PLOW WITH A PLAN. I've plowed small and large lots, for over 40 years and I have never seen anyone flit around parking lots as much as your crew. You need to analyze the area BEFORE winter and draw up a plow plan to minimize re-plowing over areas that are already done. I know it is hard with segmented areas and islands, but you can do better by starting at the farthest point from where the snow is being pushed and then work over to that area with overlap. I know that when snow is heavy, you will most likely need to plow twice, but controlling the overlap will minimize the amount of times you push the same area. Just my 2 cents. I enjoy your videos showing the new equipment and plow designs. Thanks.
@djk33822 жыл бұрын
Glad I'm not the only one thinking this. To each their own, his crew his money so whatever. But oh my did it drive me a little nuts watching the incredible amount of wasted laps. The entire time I was thinking my guys would be getting a lesson on wasted time and picking a good starting line. Non the less good video.
@ryanhunt52812 жыл бұрын
I feel as if maybe they are trying to minimize the wear and tear or the trucks? Not sure,but i plow too.this is odd to me also.ive also never plowed something this large
@jasoncornett79482 жыл бұрын
I enjoy his videos but I was thinking the same thing, a lot of there plowing is chaos, no plan, all over the place. I was waiting for nice straight clean lines.
@jamesnm212 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure they know exactly what they're doing. It may look random but it's not. There's a video where they put two loaders head to head on equal halves of a lot. One of the guys is from Stan's crew and the other is not and they both finish at the same time. What may look like wasted laps to you may be them doing a double scrape to get the lot cleaner. Also, I've observed any number of crews clearing large lots like Wal-Mart, etc and they can appear fragmented or patternless to the casual observer when in fact they are working together in a systematic and efficient process. If you had the chance to get out on the lot with them you'd probably see what they're doing.
