The fact that you finished washing the car in that cold weather I 🫡 you

Even dumber today. Just finished a 19 degree wash. But it will either be snowing, or below zero for the next week.

I've been testing this sample as well with similar winter grime/salt conditions (although I'm doing it in a heated garage with hot water). While I did note a slight decrease in wash media cleaning efficiency vs it's predecessor, it outperforms in every other category in my experience. The ability to breakdown the grime on the surface and get though a heavy salt layer is a big improvement, and the slickness is excellent. I need to do more testing vs. other brands, but based on my comparison testing with the predecessor I think it is going to remain among the top performers. I think expecting any rinseless wash to fully clean the wash media when a car is that dirty is expecting too much, as it is outside the bounds of how a rinseless is designed to work to provide best results. The Nemesis sponges are also so light, the small amount of staining shown is not dirt that is going to damage the finish, it's just an oily stain that all polymer heavy hybrids have a more difficult time removing without a longer soak time. All other sponges on the market (with the possible exception of the Gold sponge) will not show that level of staining. I understand the point of pushing the limits (as I have done the same), but I think a more fair comparison would have been to use Preludio first for this level of dirt when you dont have access to a pressure washer. Hopefully the wash media cleaning will step back up with the next iteration, but I'm reality for how you should wash a car, the current level is more than sufficient in the real world.

The issue for me is that it performed even far worse than the current on the market product.
@jeffc68323 сағат бұрын
@TheOutdoorDetailer did you compare it side by side, or are you just going off memory? Because I've been testing vs the previous version exclusively and the media cleaning performance is not that far off. When used at a level of dirt where I'd typically be comfortable using a rinseless, the media cleaning is nearly identical. When using a microfiber to clean an interior for example, it is slightly slower to clean dirt from the towel and it requires more agitation, but it will clean it to the same level. Again, I agree with you and I hope the next iteration solves it, but I don't think it's that big of an issue in the real world for how I use rinseless. The "one dunk" rule has always been unimportant to me, more of a party trick.
@TheOutdoorDetailer2 сағат бұрын
Side by side. The difference was incredibly noticeable. As far as the one dunk, I didn't really buy into it, but have started to as time goes on. It really does give you an idea of how well things get encapsulated and released. I posted a second update video in my community section but not a single person ever viewed it.
@jeffc6832Сағат бұрын
@@TheOutdoorDetailer I'll take a look at that, for some reason that video never popped up in my feed...seems that Community tab posts may not get the visibility. The next iteration is on the way to me, so I'll be eager to try it out and see how it compares. I'm terrible at making videos, but maybe I'll try to get one together and post it up on my channel.

Lmao the gimbal dying “did it again!” Lmao comedy man. So good. Thanks for your work and contribution to the culture. Keep at it RinsePrince!

LMFAO Rinse Prince. I need to remember that one! Somehow in my equipment case the gimbal must have gotten turned on, because I am always charging it, and it has battery life for nearly 6 hours of use. At least I had the backup and everything didn't get ruined. I appreciate you watching.

How do you know when to use the Labocosmetica Preludio Acidic or Alkaline? I ordered both from THOR, but they were out of the acidic so I am sitting here with just the Alkaline for now and thought that was the one to use for salt, but maybe I got that backwards? I've tried to read up on it, but still unsure which one to use when... thanks for the videos.
@TheOutdoorDetailer14 күн бұрын
@deadshrub start with the Alkaline. If you have salt on the car, then you also have all the other stuff mixed in that will also need the alkaline. Only need the acidic once in a while. For preludio, id say 1x a month, at least that's what is currently working for me.

You are one dedicated man, could you feel your hands after you were done?
@TheOutdoorDetailer14 күн бұрын
Barely. If it is sunny and cold, it sure feels a lot warmer than cloudy and windy, even if it is warmer. Just finished another test and it was 19 and I felt plenty warm.

Haha, I washed mine the other day, using a power washer. Used pans as a pre-wash; it worked nicely, creating thick foam with my MJV3 using a Craftsman power washer. I'm going to upgrade to the Active 2.0 soon. I got a DI tank now; it makes life way easier. I could just let the water sit there and not care. What's your favorite rinseless wash these days? I like the Hydra V3, Nemesis, and Ethos Hybrid. Do you think there are any better ones I should try? The Preludio is amazing, also.
@TheOutdoorDetailer14 күн бұрын
Those are my top 3 currently. Definitely get the Preludio, even if it is just the Alkaline. It is AMAZING at breaking down that road grime. Didn't use it on this test because I needed to test the actual rinseless.

Turtle wax rinseless?
@TheOutdoorDetailer12 күн бұрын
No, but if I do test it, I likely won't get around to it until this summer. I'm currently testing 4 new rinseless products that eitehr haven't been released, or were released less than 3 weeks ago.

Hello. Great video. How to clean Detail Co. Nemesis Rinseless Wash Sponge? After a few uses it's dirty. And I don’t know how to wash it.
@andrianstoykov10714 күн бұрын
Clean it with hand soap, scrub with hands good between the crevices and rinse thoroughly

Apc clean or use Feynlab v3 leav it in there for a day - generally the comment above
@jefferrrson1x14 күн бұрын
Def use an APC. I let it sit in Greenstar diluted 15:1 in a small little bucket with maybe half a gallon of water and then ring it out and then let it sit in a tub of rinseless 128:1.
@TheOutdoorDetailer14 күн бұрын
Greenstar from KCx is a great cleaner, but if you have microfiber wash, give that a try first. I soaked in microfiber wash for a day and a LOT of that staining came out. Unfortunately, once it gets stained, there isn't really anything I've found that will reverse it. I have a DIY sponge from last spring that now has 2 black sides to it.

I'm going to guess "A" is the new ADS HeroV2 pre-production and "B" is Nemesis. Great video as always!

Nah, but I did use the sponges because I didn't want to ruin my gold or red ones if something bad happened. Lol
