I would just like to add that beyond the benefits of the additional DOT damage provided by volatile reversal offers, one of the other main reasons it's included it almost every build is that you can completely regenerate your entire mana supply by simply using that skill if you build around utilizing massive mana spenders. Essentially blow your entire mana pool in a few seconds on massive damage then press volatile reversal to get all that mana you just spent instantly refilled. For example, spamming Forge Strike.

Yeah, I could see that being very useful. But it seemed a bit niche. Maybe it’s the versatility of the skill that made it show up so often.

Volatile Reversal is probably the objectively strongest standalone skill in the entire game. The damage multiplier it adds is likely enough to make that true all on its own, but then it also packs in various forms of utility too. It's ridiculous and any Sentinel build that isn't using it is making an intentional choice to play a weaker version of whatever build it might be.

You definitely want it on heavy mana cost and heavy dot builds. Which, to be fair, covers quite a few builds.

@@RagepandaONE Even on builds that have no mana issues (Rive, etc) you still always want it. The nodes for Time Rifts and Harbinger of Dust are both multipliers *and* they stack. What's more, if you have enough CDR you can get those nodes to stack on themselves; i.e. using Volatile Reversal to proc Time Rifts and then using it again before the debuff from Time Rifts expires to add another additional application of Time Rifts, etc. It's an absolutely ridiculous skill.
