Would you not wanna cut a few inches off just to make it thicker and let the pieces that have broken off catch up? I know it’s nice having long hair but it’s so much nicer to have when it’s thicker too

@HelenaDidIt5 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure she is talking about the breakage. Because it will split up the strand and break off at the healthiest part of the stand usually near the first about inch or 2 of hair. So technically her hair would be healthier and longer due to the fact that regular trims is taking off the breakage and damage. Also I've done tape in before and you can blend those babies into any length of hair if you know that you are doing. If your getting you hair lightened regularly get a trim at least an inch every time or every other time. Especially if your getting tape ins for length and volume because no one is going to be able to tell it's cut anyway.

Your hair is always growing. You wont notice if you have breakage- also just something I noticed as someone with curly hair. Most of us with natural hair use products to keep are hair healthy. I haven't had mine cut in about 8-10 months and have hardly any dead ends. Granted I have long hair so when I go to get it cut I'm having up to 6 inches whacked off. But I swear natural hair takes almost less damage and doesnt have split ends as much because of the products and process people use. Straight haired people should also use stuff... it helps ;-;
@ItsVannah5 жыл бұрын
I feel like she should have layered the tape ins more because your natural hair has a lot of layers, so it’s sort of noticeable that a chunk of hair in the back is longer and healthier looking than the rest

The burning would also be caused by your 1:2 ratio with a high developer. 30 volume and above isn't meant for direct scalp application, and especially with doubling the amount of developer (most bleach processes are 1:1) it should be used in foils to avoid a potential chemical burn.

How come she didn’t start on the back of the head with the roots since the roots around the front of the head develop faster?
@zerewindham24325 жыл бұрын
Jessie NoJoke All hair processes the same, developer and time determines how fast it lightens. You want to start in front so around the face is brightest Incase the back doesn’t quite reach a full white blonde (because it was done last). OR, you can increase the volume at the back so it catches up. :)
@witchblades69795 жыл бұрын
@@zerewindham2432 uh idk who you told you all hair processes the same but your wrong
@zerewindham24325 жыл бұрын
witch blades (Licensed cosmetologist here) Foils increase speed of lifting, as does the volume of the developer. All hair on the same head processes the same with even saturation of bleach, bangs don’t process faster than the nape hair. Each hair has the same amount of melanin and the same heat source (each follicle on her head comes from the same scalp). So actually, biologically, they do ;-)
@Kibeeeeee5 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t matter if it’s the back of the head or the front of the head, the scalp is the scalp. The lady who did the hair didn’t do anything wrong, it’s just usually a little bit more neat (and faster for some) to work from the bottom up.

I just recently started getting into hair stuff, and I've got a question : is brushing your hair while still wet + blow-drying it, really recommended after you just bleached it ? I thought it would damage it even more ?
@thenightshiner27444 жыл бұрын
According to my hairdresser sister its definitely not recommended to do that. Your hair is in a very weak stage after bleaching, even if you use a hair mask after, and brushing it with something that's not a wide comb brush will lead to even more breakage. Applying heat to it is also just very bad. This hairdresser is basically just giving this girl anything she wants but not really caring about her hairs health.
