Has to be the balloon like material. my car gave me red flashing collision alert and whiplash stopping me when backing into a bush.

I think you might not be getting the results that you want because of the material that you’re using. The punching bags are made of super thin rubber and, mostly air, it might not be reflective enough for the sensors to pick it up. Most profesional tests are made with cardboard dummies. You might want to try that

I agree, this also might be as designed too. a few days ago while going 70mph on i90 I hit a tumble weed, that would have been extremely bad if the car slammed on the brakes while I had a truck behind me. With that in mind cardboard may not work well. I do have some to test with and if I can find something good to test with I will do a part two.

I think it’s set up to stop for vehicles ahead. Also for pedestrians they may have to be moving from the sidewalk to street for it to detect and stop.

One thing I would love to do is get a bunch of small foam blocks. Then stack them in the shape of a human and a car and run into them lol. I'm just not sure how I could make that affordable or wind resistant

Thank you for making this. It answered my question about auto braking. Perhaps putting some clothing-like material on the inflatable would be a better simulation. Hopefully, you don't freak out anyone mistaking it for a real child!

I would suggest putting a person in front of the car. I honestly wanted to test this and was thinking of doing it with my son holding a blanket. Maybe I'll have him drive and I'll be the dummy.

Yes it does, but side cam point downwards so it is not like the Tesla.
