I really like your takes on the "oldshool" combo decks. Its cool to see someone updating decks that otherwise felt very underpowered. Feels bad thta we have to use cards like The One Ring for it as Im not really ok with forking ove the playset but I can always ask a friend to lend me them if I wann play these versions :P

Glad you enjoy! I played a ton of Naus/Storm when they were at their best, and feel a bit lost that there's nothing too similar in current modern. I think the future is combo decks that look more like the legacy combo decks of 5ish+ years ago, but we need another couple of printings to get there.

What do you think about plot? Seems taylor made for Storm - new jace, new fork and Slickshot Show-Off stand out. SSO can be a win con. If it eats a bolt it just ads to the storm count, for free

I think show off and Jace are probably the closest from what has been spoiled, but I think even then both are just too clunky. Storm can't afford to have its wincon get bolted, so then we'd have to protect showoff and clear blockers etc, and often having enough storm count is not the issue. Plot is definitely a great mechanic for storm, but nothing seems pushed enough to make it in modern for storm to me.

@@MinT_x33 they made a plot card draw spell now. It seems . .. insane. 1r Discard a card, OR sac a land to keep both drawn cards. Plot 1r

​​@@jharrington2112 I'm not convinced it's good enough, but I would definitely love to be proven wrong! I think it's pretty similar to Wrenn's Resolve which has seen a little play in versions that try to maximize it, but isn't a game changer.

I do remember playing vs timeless amulet somewhat recently, so maybe, I think I didn't end up posting that league because one round I had an opponent disconnect and leave, and then one round I played against a deck that played five mountains in a row, then tried to play an Embermaw Hellion as their first play of the game, so i think it didn't make for the best content haha.
