One time driving drunk in gravel pit early Minnesota winter I high centered 2wd Silverado. Had to use factory lug wrench to chip frozen gravel under rocker panel on driver side to clearance frame. No flashlights its 11pm. Started a fire using Auto trader magazines burning 1 page at a time. Being a farm kid I was resourceful and got us out. City slicker buddy’s were no help feeding fire 10 pages at a time. “Hey ! Burn 1 page at time so fire lasts”. Lol. Good times

As for cleaning the truck after mudding it, I put two of the oscillating fan-style water sprinklers under my truck, one near the rear diff', and one near the front diff' spraying from front to back, then turn them on and walk away for 30 minutes then go back and turn the sprinklers so they spray from side to side for 30 minutes, and they'll soften up and remove most of the mud from under the truck. Just make sure you set them in the right spots to get the best coverage. Once you've done the undercarriage pull them out and put one on each side of the truck and set the adjustment so that they only oscillate from the top of the cab down. That has saved me MANY hours of standing out there hand-spraying mud out from under/off my mud trucks and UTVs/ATVs.

Lol i commented on one of your videos ages ago about floor mats ... As someone who has used the floor mat method more than once the only fault I seen in your testing is that if your truly stuck and resorting to floor mats or boot carpet you would dig in front of the wheels so u don't have that steep step up.. for the wheels, or stuff under the wheels with shrubs first then the floor mats ,, it's why the wood method works so well it lift the tire over that ledge ,

Get the truck or the vic stuck then use what ever you can get your hands on. Go old school MacGyver on it. Extra points for creative ideas. Chains, rope, anything that the wheels will climb or pull under. As mentioned below rig up something to make the wheel pull the car or truck out by winding up the rope or chain.

So when you put the 2x4 on the wheel instead of the way you did it. Place it across the side like the hand on a clock. Long ways with the car. When the wheel spins the board will spear the ground with both sides as it spins. Like propeller attached to the side of the rim.

Cat litter is always a bad idea, it is bentonite clay, really good at absorbing oil but turns to a slick snot when in lots of water, it's used to seal leaking ponds, small dams and even to seal water wells. Floor mats only work in light snow and icy conditions, they work best upside down and flat, the carpet side provides friction. The black rubber rebar things look like the wire at one end is supposed to be tied to the rim around the tire so that the tire rotating pulls it under and around again and again.
