This stuff is amazing on glass. My daughter's Accord was trashed on the passengers side from 3 years at her JMU apartment, sprinklers. I applied it and it looked great. Applied again and used a used a new razor blade to clean up the residual areas. The gel turned the spots into a scrapeable material. I was floored with how good it came out on glass.

I tried this on my Ram 1500 after getting hammered by the lawn sprinklers. It took most of them off, but had to go to rubbing compound and polish the paint. A lot of work, but truck came out looking good. Spot Remover worked so so.

I was getting a dull layer of water spots on my dark blue 7 passenger SUV after 4 years of hand washing. It has Suntek Ultra PPF on the front end and CQuatz finest ceramic coating on the rest. One application of the Chemical guys spot remover did a very good job of removing around 90%-95% of the visible water spots on PPF, ceramic coating, painted metal surfaces, painted plastic bumpers, and windows. The water spots came off easier on the PPF and plastic bumpers compared to the ceramic coated metal surfaces. I tried buffing water spots out first with wax and that took 30-45 minutes with 2-3 times on one door to achieve the same results of 5 mins of wipe on, let set for 20-30 seconds, wash and rinse with the Chemical guys spot remover. Probably get 3-4 applications from one bottle depending on the size of vehicle and water spot problem.

Interesting that it worked better on the film. Thanks for the input!

I used this last week on a 2023 Hnda HRV. Had hard water spots 750 PPM water deposit spots all over including glass. I just lightly worked it in and left it for 2 minutes and then neutralized it with soapy water a couple of times and then wipe gently with clean microfiber and 25/75 mic of isopropyl alcohol/distilled water. They came right out and made polishing easier. Have to allow a little time for Hydroflouric acid to convert minerals. Yours seem worse than what I had and seem baked in longer

I use it too and it works on water spots that was etched into my cars paint for 1-2 years. But it didn’t work on my rear window which has etched water spots for 4-5 years… I tried applying 3 times to remove it, it did reduce it but there’s some stubborn water spots that won’t come off without a serious polish.

Very similar to my experience... I was surprised it worked better on paint.

@@DkpProductions ya same here. Works great on metal and plastic. Just not well on glass. My front windshield was replaced about 1.5 yrs ago and it has some water spots and it wouldn’t remove it either…

Chemical Guys Water Sport remover does work and works great for those oopps! moments. I've used it just this past week but our water spots have never been on the vehicle more than a few weeks.

Agreed! I found it very handy for water spots in the door openings where buffing isn't easy/practical.

It's non alcoholic so it's probably even less effective than a normal brewski at cleaning haha! Unfortunately it's sold out everywhere right now!

in your experience would you clay before or after this process ?
@DkpProductions8 ай бұрын
I would clay after the chemical treatment to help keep the clay bar cleaner and less likely to clog up as fast.

I don't think you can blame chemical guys on this product they made. When u have a car with that bad of watermarks that is just a hard compounding work. Along with waxing. I used it on mine and it did awesome it's for those car washes that are monthly weekly. Not every 5 years
@DkpProductions Жыл бұрын
It's a 2019 it didn't even have 5 years to get this bad haha. But yeah I understand. I had simply buffed a few other panels and was curious what this could do beforehand.

It only remove the minerals causing the water spots, if it’s too deep into the clear, you then polish after removing the minerals.
@petedetraglia4776 Жыл бұрын
@@MBV180 Polish isn't going to take out deep etching from water spots that baked in the sun...Even a 50/50 Uro pad won't take them all out with a one step either...basically unless your going to abuse your clear coat with a heavy cutting compound which I don't suggest, you may lighten the etching but its there for life....I've thought I got them out with some of the processes I use but in time for some damn reason they come back...SMH.

You need to remove the minerals first before buffing , if you’re buffing it’s only pushing into the coat, then will come back or not be as effective of a Polish
