This is how I remove oxidation with Cleansol BC without brushing. I don't downstream it on. I use a 2.1 gpm 100 psi 12 v diaphragm pump. I mix 1 gallon of Cleansol to 9 gallons of water to make a 10 gallon batch/mix. Smaller houses I may use 20 gallons and larger houses I'll use around 30 gallons. Just according. I normally don't even use my pressure washer to rinse. I just use a garden hose as long as the home has decent volume and pressure. I wet down a section that I want to do. Let that settle for a minute. Then, apply a light spray of Cleansol over the entire area. Let it sit for 4 minutes. Then apply another coat and let it sit for another 4 minutes. Then take the hose and rinse it all off. The oxidation just melts off. That process will get about 95% of it off without brushing. There is always going to be a couple small stubborn areas around a window or side edge of the siding. I just spot spray those areas. Let it sit for about 2 minutes and scrub off. Then rinse. I've never had to actually scrub an entire house or sections to get it off. Just small spots the size of your hand in corners.

Chris Steward -- Pretty much the same here. I wet down the area I'm going to treat first then use my 12V to apply. Like you I've only ever had just a few small areas that are very stubborn and had to brush it off. After I let it dwell for about 10 to 15 minutes the oxidation simply melts and runs right off with a good rinse. I always make sure I rinse windows thoroughly and then rinse them again. If you don't the Cleansol BC will spot up the windows. I've never had an issue using the chemical.

One thing that helped me when I started using Cleansol BC was I used my jrod with a 5 degree 30 orifice tip for my 8gpm machine, instead of the m5 twist, got me an extension for my wand. I have also had success with the 0540 tip also, try to rinse one to two rows at a time, nothing over 2 rows I found, and I am usually able to soap it down let it dwell for 8 minutes or so and rinse, yes I still use a brush every once in awhile but only on really bad oxidation. As for my brush soft bristle brush like you guys are using on top of my waterfed pole, usually 2 sections for a one story then add in more sections as i need to. pole does not flex or bend so you can really scrub if needed.

I just bought some LA's Awesome cleaner for a test mix of 5 to 1. I used it on aluminum siding on a mobile home. I sprayed it on, let it dwell, then lightly brushed and rinsed it with only a garden hose with my finger on the end of the hose. When it dried, it had a shiny paint finish. Some oil dripped on the Trex decking, and I used a 5 to 1 mix again. After a little light brushing with an auto-cleaning brush, there were no visible oil spots. I found it to be effective, considering its price. I also put some on the downspout, and it made it smooth and shiny white. When I cleaned the siding, all the oxidation was removed.

Oxidation does not appear by pressure washing. They pressure washed spot hard and took oxidation off.

I like Cleansol BC, but the only truly brushless product on the market is Ox Onox from Southeast Softwash. It’s a lot stronger, so you have to be more careful, but it works like a charm!

What do you have to be careful for plants windows?
@truthseeker1532
@truthseeker1532 Жыл бұрын
@@patricklacasse2877 yes, it can kill plants and etch windows, but it can damage the surface you are applying it to as well. It can strip paint from metal, and I’d never want it to dry on any surface.

Are you sure about that? I just saw a video using the OX , The guy used 50/50 and it didn't work. Used Bc and worked 10X better...

@@vcash1112 I just did a full vinyl house 3 days ago and it worked great. Totally brushless in the shade, but I brushed in the 104 degree sun to speed it up. Too hard to keep it from drying in that heat. I was very impressed

I dont downstream it. I premix spray bottles to test different ratios. Thats the biggest thing with it. The worse yhe oxidation is the stronger the solution needed. Mix multiple spray bottle batches ranging from 1 to 4 to 1 to 7 ratios and test on an out of the way spot. This will give the best results. It takes two sometimes more applications to resolve the issue. There should be minimal brushing needed if you have the right ratio. I spent alot of time on the phone with the manufacturer and if its your first time using it i would strongly suggest calling for a tech to walk tou through uour first project. They have way more info and are very very helpful to get the most knowledge to you direct.

you downstream it, if you apply it straight I bet it would be brushless.

I saw Cody dump it straight on half of a window blind. And dwell for precisely 2 minute. Hell yeah, it worked like magic. But who can afford to do a house at full strength?

first you wet the area, then softwash, let sit for 5 minutes then softwash again let sit 5 minutes then rinse off.

I watched a pro try it three times. The third time, he did it exactly the way SESW instructed him to do it. The result was not prime. He had to brush the siding.to get the oxidation free to rinse it off. Who knows, there could be many factors causing the results the washer was getting.
