I would ban the two drops from boros. In a standard legal set, they could not be printed for less than four mana each. They just break the rules in the most frustrating possible way. You play a "normal" two drop on turn two, they respond with two two drops instead! Occasionally three, when raptor cascades into ajani.

I've definitely been in the camp of Guide of Souls is secretly the most impactful card in Boros and needs to be banned. While it's true that it's one of the only cards that can be one-for-oned with removal, it's still a 1 CC card, so there's no way to get tempo/mana advantage through removal. Another equivalent card would be Deathrite Shaman, which some think could be unbanned but others feel is still banworthy. I'm still not sold on The One Ring ban, but things have changed with Ugin's Labyrinth. A turn 3 or 4 Ring is not backbreaking. A Turn 2 Ring, however, is problematic.

The problem of Boros is that it's not just a single card. Basically every card in that deck could be banned, I wouldn't be shocked if they banned phlage, or Ajani, or Guide of souls, or raptor, or Ring, .... Nadu was an issue, but with a single ban the problem is gone. I am scared a single ban will not be enough to fix the boros problem right now. And I am also scared they will actually try to ban as little as possible and we will get fcked by that decision for the next months. I actually stopped playing modern since a couple of months. I would like to restart, but I don't feel like it yet.

MH3 is just bad for MTG. Legacy also sucks right now. Glad to see this brew. Been disliking Standard prior to Foundations. A lot of Standard decks seem to be ultra draw engines with the blue and white enchantment creatures, Demons with Unholy Annex, 5C ramp with Atraxa and the Caretakers Talent Tokens decks. Aggro is the only way to compete

1. Hell yeah standard is so god damn good right now. My personal opinion is that it’s been comfortably the best of the 3 major formats basically since the fable ban. 2. This makes me really want spike to take a swing at pauper. There’s so many busted cards or shells and a ton of different options that are just begging a brewer like spike to take a look at them.

Commander has its own issues, but it's way more consistent than almost any 60 card meta ever. Modern/Pioneer locals are dead, Commander has record attendance.
