Good morning, Smitha 🌄 I love that you've done this kind of video and agree that the concealer side is definitely more pigmented. I would also love to see this done between concealer and an actual eye base like the one from gerard cosmetics or nyx. I always see people using the eye bases over the eye primers, so maybe that'll be different? Either way, I'd love to see a tutorial like this one between the two. I have recently been using concealer on my eyelid and it worked better than the Many eyeshadow primers I have, I get one eye oily, I have hooded eyes.

And the eyeshadow wore off a little more in the middle on the side with primer. Maybe the concealer staying wet longer was a good thing, maybe it picked up more pigment

@@SmithaDepak Probably because the concealer was still a bit wet compared to the primer. I use an eyeshadow primer that doesn't dry down completely for the same effect while still getting good oil control.

I would love a comparison between traditional primer and setting spray as a primer. I started using urban decay's spray as a primer and then to set as well, and I swear my makeup lasts way longer (for me anyway, everyone has different skin!)

The color is more intense on the concealer side. But I prefer the side done with primer: at the end of the day, it looked smoother and not crinkly. I have oily lids too. Since I started using a primer, my eye make up lasts all day without budging. 👍🏻

The concealer side looks more intense and brighter I use a Canadian brand eye primer made by Annabelle. It comes in a little pot and is a light beige. It goes on like a cream concealer but has staying power of a liquid primer.And best of all, it's only $8.00 Canadian. And like a concealer, it shows the true color and intensity in the shadows

I also have hooded eyes and oily skin, and am 56 years old, so I have an aging skin to add on top of that. And the struggle to make the eye makeup to last all day is real! Just the fact that you didn’t have to set either of the bases is what amazed me the most! Beatuful makeup btw! Really loved that colour combo!

Both sides look good but I definitely see a difference with the concealer. Not only is there more pigment of the eyeshadow but your eye looks more open and lifted with the concealer.

Hi Smitha. The concealer side definitely on applying and after the wear test, is much more pigmented. So I guess depending if you want to retain the original deep colour, you would use concealer. I used to love concealer but for some reason it started creasing in my late 20’s. So I had to start using eyeshadow base to avoid creasing.

I have oily lids so primer works best. With concealer, eyeshadow melts within 2-4 hours

I don't remember a time when I didn't use a concealer as my base before applying eyeshadow..I don't bother with a primer as I see no need for it..After I apply elf camo concealer on my lids I then apply a flat eggshell color eyeshadow on top along with whatever other colors I feel like wearing and my eyeshadow lasts all day into the night..I enjoy your tutorials and I certainly will vote for you..

I loved the color combo of eyeshadows so much ❤️💕 My eyelids are also oily and i always use concealer as my eye makeup base.
