Testing Flame Retardant Coating on Plywood

A bit controversial project is on horizon, so I decided to do some testing before I do anything too stupid
In this video, two pieces of 3mm Baltic birch plywood are burned, one with the flame retardant coating, the other - without. A standard store bought plastic wall socket cover was burned for reference (Can you guess the next project?)

!!! Disclamer !!! Do not try this at home kids. I do not encourage the use of candles to burn stuff. I was in well ventilated workshop with a fire extinguisher in one hand and mother on speed dial in other. If you do stupid things, stupid things will hapen

Borax also works for this and is almost free. It would be interesting to see how a wood sample soaked in borax solution fares compared to the commercial product

If you want quicker results, you can use tealights, those burn hotter than candles (as some who tried to use them on Christmas Pyramids found out). BTW I don't think you should put that outlet back on the wall ;-)
