So, instead of plants, every summer I like to “grow”/nurture a small animal species; last summer it was butterflies, this summer it’s sea monkeys! Even though animals like these have such short lives, it’s so exciting to watch them grow and to know that I helped them get that big!

I have only seen a few other people put the tips on the way you do. Starting from the thumb and not the pinky finger. I was taught to start from the pinky and move on up to the thumb. Leaving the thumbs for last because they are like a tool and we use them to hold the other tips in place. Either way the nails turned out great! I really like all the products used.

Gotta agree with everyone else. Gorgeous and one of my favorite sets of yours! You did such a beautiful job on the flowers! Since those gels are limited edition, I’d love to see a video of you trying to create your own oil-like gels to compare. Maybe with one of those gritty thickening powders you’ve used in the past? Or see if you can get a similar texture by stippling 3d gels. It would be helpful if people could make their own.

Our favorite flowers to plant in the spring are super petunias, they're gorgeous and spread decently, they come in all colors and I've done a pink and purple theme with them before.

If you want to grow peppers from seed, the trick is to start them early inside. Just plant the seeds in little seed pots, put them in a sunny window and water them, then you can plant them outside when it's warm enough. This gives them enough time to grow big enough to actually grow peppers worth picking. I started mine last weekend!

We finally bought land last year. We ended up buying 60 different seeds (to start with) flowers, fruits, veggies. I also have some fig trees that i propagated from my mama's fig tree that are going in the ground this year. they just broke dormancy. They're about a year old now.

I was just thinking about adding some dahlias to my patio garden before I watched this! Last year I grew some tomatoes and bell peppers on my patio. This year I decided to upgrade to a raised planter, hanging baskets and some over-the-railing planters to really try to maximize my growing space while still making it a cozy place to hang out. I have 2 different types of tomatoes, Cajun bell peppers, spring garlic and onions, marigolds, “hot and spicy” oregano, lemon verbena thyme, strawberries, dianthus, green beans, squash, and zucchini. I also have a honeysuckle plant and some deep purple calla lilies. You need to check out black calla lilies, you would love them. I had black and dark purple calla lilies at my wedding and it was lovely. I really don’t have optimal conditions for the squash and zucchini plants I have but I’ve decided to just see what happens.
