Testing H3VR's Official Tournament Character

This character was added as part of the experimental update this week to help the developer tune the difficultly. These were my first few runs, live, while Anton Hand the developer was also watching in the chat.

I got into your channel a few weeks ago after I realized you were the funny reload guy, and I was stoked to find your more competitive stuff. I have barely any space to play VR and I only have a quest 2 so the controllers are a bit clunky but man, you have really inspired me to try to get a lot more serious about it. At this point, when you've got single guards and awful single shot weapons, you might want to use the shot to stun them, then to rip them apart. Switching to Rip And Tear is faster then reloading!

You took that regen like a champ, I had a 40 round r6000 sp1 but I had such a hard time balancing between fighting off sosigs and taking on the node. Good to see you back in action :)

A pleasant surprise to see you back, you're the only person I've consistently watched for whatever you do in VR, be it HL: Alyx, into radius, or this game. Here I was thinking we'd never really see anything from you again, I'm glad I was wrong about that :)

Haven't watched the entire stream yet, but I'm glad to have you back on H3! I was trying the new character in Northest Dakota just as you uploaded your run. We rolled the same initial guns. I did a five hold standard, and it got kind of simple towards the end. LOTS of sosigs, but heavy equipment. Never really got close to a fail, but had some interesting situations. I look forward to seeing the character develop.

After watching some more I can definitely tell you that Northest Dakota is MUCH easier using the new character, close encounter stuff seems WAY harder. You could kind of cheese the sosigs in ND, falling back and sniping them off with the YOLO-gun or any other red dotted hammer. Later I got a 50bmg semi automatic sniper rifle and I strolled through patrols like I was on a morning walk. We could need some "sniper team" sosigs where they are stationed in tricky places and have a loooong-ass focused detection cone and a long range sosigun. Not sure of the gameplay mechanics on that one of course, but having super hardened patrols but with short range detection and dinky short range weapons was a bit too easy IMO. It's probably tricky to balance a game with twitchy close combat stuff and long range stuff simultaneously though.
