You keep hitting all the marks! I was wondering about these. I searched a review and here you were. Appreciate the videos as always. Got my mom a Score one cutter after the salesman told me to research it for my mom. We both watched your video and she is loving it! Drove up to MIchigan Wed. and picked up an Evenheat glass kiln. Skipped the Wizard after your review and bought my mom The Grinder. I hope Tecniglass sends you one for free. It is so amazing. $$$$ and lots of $$$ add ons but it took me about 5 mins to go from zero to hero with the simple shapes we have been practicing. My foil looks great now. Loving it! Hopefully that will improve my soldering. I am struggling. What temp do you set your iron at? Loved the jumping spiders. I was thinking honestly when you were explaining the little habitat Ooh she should get a coffin shape... and then it was. That is so perfect for you. Cool your husband has them too! I am worried about my mom's dog getting glass shards in her paws. Going to look for some black rubber flooring or something a can put around the bench. Have a great one!

Thank you so much Danny! And yes, absolutely, for mom and moms dog. Shards will and do go absolutely everywhere in this craft. So minimizing the spray from a grinder or while your cutting is important. I keep my dogs out of my office essentially at all times, it is blocked off with a gate. Period. Unless I've freshly deep cleaned and know it's safe. Everytime I cut or grind I fully vac not only myself but all surfaces before walking through the house. The small shards are the scary ones. Can't see or feel them until an infection is forming in your foot or your dogs. (No that has never happened to me, knock on wood, but that is the fear.) And I'm so glad you went with the grinder instead, I WOULD LOVE if they sent me one too. 😂 BUT IDK if that'll ever happen. The older I get, the harder I am on brands. I might be a liability. 😂😂 With all that said, thank you so much for your support. I hope you and Mom are doing well!! And just keep practicing practicing practicing. You'll be foiling with your eyes closed in no time!

Check out the 633-01 iron holder. It holds the 601 and the tip cleaner. I really like my smoke absorber and want the arm, but the arm is quite expensive. I missed the instructions about the filter turning white, so it was nice to learn something new today.

May have to try the paste. Purchased the tinning powder you recommended. I like but wither I'm obsessed with doing it or it sucks it up. Have it in my cart LOL Oh BTW.... Finally decided to spend a little extra on my soldering iron...got the Hakko FX888 and I LOVE it. Made a complete difference in my solder beads. Thanks

Tinning powder? I'm not sure that was me? Idk what that is. But I love this paste, worked so well and melted so fast compared to my normal tinner. I'm so glad you got a good iron that your happy with!! Makes all the difference to have a good iron! Welcome!! Thank you for watching!

Am I understanding correctly that by using the smoke absorber, you don’t need to wear a mask to limit smoke inhalation? If so that would be awesome as my safety glasses fog up when I wear a mask 😬

Hello! Happy halloween!! So you need just the standard stained glass iron tip. Just give that a Google "stained glass soldering iron tip". Flat on both sides. 🖤🕸🖤

I'm just wondering if it would serve me when using epoxy resin while curing. Anyone try that yet? I'm trying to avoid wearing a vapor mask all the time while filling moulds.
@MakenzieHallie
@MakenzieHallie Жыл бұрын
I do not have enough knowledge about that to say for sure. But i imagine whatever specific resin your using would specify that near where they talk about what fumes they have or dont have in that brand. To be 100% sure, i would probs just email whichever company for some straight definite answers on that. Sometimes easier then the black hole of answers and opinions on the internet. Lol.

Because the price of metal has gone up, buying bulk solder this was cheaper and I could get more! Don't particularly like it however.
