I just want to say no one should yelling at you for how you dye your hair we do what works for us and I grew up in hair salons my mom is a cosmetologists and so is my aunt and she owns a very successful salon and spa and my whole entire life I've watched ppl dye hair, I have seen a million times color bring put on with hands especially on the length and ends. You do you! All that matters is the end result and that you love it! 😘💙💙💙

If you start from the back, you won't get dye on your forearms from reaching across the already dyed bits, but I like it! I have all purple hair myself and I use Artic Fox, but when I color my own hair, it's pretty difficult. Been doing it since I was 14 and it's still tedious. Wish I could pull off pastels! I use artic fox plum purple.

Try using a color kit with Clips and especially a dye brush and comb. You can't saturate dry hair by hand, especially the pieces closest to the new hair growth.

Hey! I just wanted to point out that Joico color butter is preferably used on already colored hair to revive the dye and that you should of used the Joico color intensity dye instead. The result would of been over the top! They also have a color remover and if u use their semi permanent dye the color will lift out so easy!! Just letting you guys know cause I've had colored hair all my life and have been struggling to find a great dye that would last and at the same time lift out good, so that company saved my life! Since i've discovered Joico I've never used any other color!! Love it so much! :)

It's only a treatment to refresh and strengthen your hair/hair color (usually used if you already have a color on that you want to brighten up a little) . It's definitely not a direct dye meaning it won't be extremely pigmented and I doubt they'll have a large variety of shades.

Yikes, I definitely don't like this product.. the splotchyness looks like you've had this color on your head for months, when you JUST did it. And I mean before you washed it again. It looks a lot better faded, but people wanting to color their head with this completely should just try Overtone.

Agreed, when watching I saw several spots that were not saturated and missed in the video. I just got the Purple to freshen up my hair so I'll see if it does the same thing to my ends. I just bleached my hair and my ends are slightly dry still but not bad.

Cherie Wood really? There was one sold in a drug store where I live (Canada) and they had a colour deposition hair mask like 4 years ago. I used it to refresh my red hair and I still do. It’s made by a company called ice cream.

Stacey Lee Yeah, I've heard and seen it's hard to get out. I had a friend that was red and she thought bleaching her hair would get it out and it turned it pink and orange, so I know never to do that😂. But who knows, maybe it'll look good, hopefully!

Have to ever used olaplex or b3 added into your bleach when youve bleached it? It really helps preserve your hair. Also applying coconut oil the day before, dont rinse, & apply bleach over it. But for real you should use olaplex or b3. 💙💙💙

A little trick you can use to get color out quicker is to wash your hair with Dawn dish soap or a good clarifying shampoo!

You did not cover your hair with dye that well. You hair is patchy because didn't use enough dye nor did you soak your hair in the dye. When you were done putting the dye on your hair, I could still see blonde through the blue. You didn't use enough dye.

Came here because I had the same splotchy and sticky results. I don't understand why this product would be marketed as a "treatment" if it doesn't work for hair with different levels of porosity. Definitely trying to get it out as quickly as possible. :(

Id say try another color! Maybe another color won't be as splotchy as the blue, because when it faded it was GORGEOUS. Maybe the lighter colors work better?
