Robert you are the hardest worker on KZbin ever! Your content is always great! I look forward to your Silver test results. I really don’t know how you do it. I enjoy my airbrush and spraying and have been delighted with my results based on tips and recommendations that you have given. That being said, the one thing I dread, the most, is cleaning the airbrush. I do it every time I use it and very thoroughly. So, the fact that you are spraying over 100 different silver’s, just for us viewers blows my mind. I do not believe you would have to clean the airbrush between every single one, but I would imagine to get consistent results and not skew them. You would almost have to. God bless you, Robert, thank you for all of your hard work and dedication once again.

Always take the proper precautions with KBS diamond clear as you would with 2k clear. According to the MSDS isocyanates are something to be aware of when you are are spraying/airbrushing.

Great! Yeah, I recently was going to pick up some to try out and I was shocked that it's as expensive as the product I use currently. I needed an epoxy finish replacement, and it was between Diamond Clear and Brite Tone, and I went with Brite Tone. It's a water based high solids clear, and you can build up a thick coat relatively fast. It was more expensive, but it doesn't have the fumes because its water based. I probably will test out some 2K now that all the prices are up there. I'm looking forward to seeing the airbrush test as I enjoy upstarts and seeing what they're going to bring to the table.

Hey Fred (friend) - thanks a mint for this tutorial - I spray can Mr. Color clear but will def buy KBS and give her a 'shot' ... also the 400 Leveling Thinner is the only way to go - buying paint products is like complaining about price car battery (how many hundreds times has it started your car ?) - don't skimp on cheap products sweating it out for hopefully a great flawless finish - pay for the good stuff and be amazed at end game

Hi! Great review! 15 ounces are about 440ml, so I'm guessing there is a 18ml Tamiya can there, so about 3 times more. Maybe the aerosol from the can contains acetone, so that might remove the acrylic Vallejo from the spoon, this is why it looks all wrinkled and chipped

as far as the Vallejo goes, I find that some solvent paints will bite so hard that they actually pull the softer paint back off the substrate.

I'm really not hot on 2K 2 part epoxy's coats both from a safety perspective but also, the risk of screwing up your airbrush. So have been looking for good spray can alternatives. I came across Car-rep, a Finnish company, who makes 2K rattle cans, that's not a new concept, what's good and new about their product is, that it is NOT a one time use only after activation. You can use what you need, and put it back on the shelf like any other normal rattle can paint, so no waste at all. I bought a can to test it out, but its just way too cold right now where I live. so have to wait it it gets warmer outside. Not going to use 2K indoors.
