TESTING KENTEC SYNCRO AS PANEL | HOCHIKI MCP | FIRE ALARM DEMO

In this video I show a demo on testing a Hochiki manual call point on a Kentec Electronics Syncro AS fire alarm panel.
Some panels don't have a key and only have user buttons. Firstly you need the correct test key, user access code or key and read the manufacturers instructions.
Step 1: Insert the 2 pronged test key in the bottom and pull down the bottom of the MCP cover.
Step 2: Take the test key out and push the MCP cover back up.
Step 3: Make sure the access level code or key is activated
Step 4: Press Silence Alarm (Acknowledge)
Step 5: Press Reset

Is there a test mode where the sounders only go off for a few seconds? Sometimes the MCP is on the other side of the building and I don't want to leave it going off until I get back to the panel. Many thanks

Our school has the same panel, except most of the devices are actually conventional because the building is very old. The reason the panel was upgraded was because an extension has been built which uses Hochiki ESP devices like the ones in this video

We have upgraded a few conventional systems with addressable like the Kentec Syncro AS but used zone monitors for existing conventional devices with the intention of upgrades when the client has the budget so that is fine providing the zones comply in terms of area or coverage.

Hi Dans, thanks a lot for the video as I just encounter an exact panel like this. Could you do a video of adding more HOCHIKI detectors/MCPs to the existing system and how to program the system? BTW, the music is as loud as fire alarm set off. I am kind of struggle between listening to you and silence the music.

If you watch his videos he never tells you the Engineer codes just the basic user codes to reset the panel. (Note: he dodged your question).Try Google to add the items you want to this system or contact the manufacturers direct.

We have Kentec Syncro AS panel fitted at the location as you there is a PC port (RS232) in the panel which used for system programming can you please provide me serial port data like Baud Rate, Number of Data Bits, Stop Bits, Parity?

Akhil Gopika it is was displayed when the panel is auto learned but no other info has been programmed. So when a call point is activated or a smoke, does it come up with a location description or is it blank?

Shah Mehul you can add up to 126 devices but what's important is that you don't overload the loop! Always check the quesicent and alarm current of the devices you intend to use
