Also, if a Hochiki device is put on Apollo protocol it can cause weird device corruptions (don't ask how I know).

yeah I bought it on the premis of being able to experiment with two protocols so I am glad I can change it. I recall the old american panels with all those addon cards, looked nice.

@@thingyee1118 my Morley currently has an apollo loop card in it, but I might buy some loop cards for other protocols. My Morley can support loop cards for apollo, hochiki, Morley, system sensor and nittan protocols, so I might try them all at some point

How to change protocol on the Kentec Syncro AS/8000 series. Apollo or Hochiki. I been told you cant do it so I researched it myself. Official documentation didn't warn about disconnecting loop devices first but it seems wise to first disconnect them given others have informed me Hochiki protocol operates at a higher voltage than Apollo protocol.
