According to the AliExpress seller of CPU, it was compatible. The question I have is, can I overclock on this motherboard like your b365 motherboard. MSI Gaming Z170 Krait Gaming bios for qtj1 Thank you for these useful videos
@manaphylv1003 жыл бұрын
I have a couple of motherboards to recommend for and against. Recommended: Gigabyte Z270 Phoenix Gaming. Easily overclocks my i9-9980HK retail/QS to 5.0 GHz (w/ AVX -1) using a built-in BIOS profile for the i7-7700K, zero tweaking required for 100% stability. Voltage is dynamic depending on load (0.725~1.475 V; ~1.25 V sustained in Handbrake and Prime 95 w/ AVX), and temperatures are totally acceptable on air cooling. It's just the easiest motherboard I've used so far, and it looks great to boot. Avoid: Asus Strix Z370-E/F/G/H. Pathetic BIOS, overvolts so much that the CPU would hit 100°C and throttle to 3.9 GHz at stock settings. Custom boost tables don't work properly (loses frequency after sleep), AVX offset doesn't work at all. Adaptive and offset voltage settings don't work, only manual static voltage holds, which results in much higher idle power consumption. The BIOS also resets itself whenever you change anything in the system, even if you just remove a memory stick or GPU and put it back into the same slot, which is very annoying.

Thanks for the info! Now I can say for sure that my Gigabyte Z170 is just a pathetic motherboard, and not all Gigabyte motherboards are silly bad with the mutants.

A request: I have a QQLT at 4.8GHz,and the frequency cache at 4.5Ghz with a gigabyte b365m aourus elite and two sticks of ram (dual channel mode) at 2400mT/s CL 17 (chepaer sticks). All is working perfectly. I want to buy 2 sticks with the same frequency but with CL 14, and i planning overclock the ram to 2600 or 2666 with a CL15 or CL 16. But i have a problem 😣 I experiment with the ram speed, i push up the voltage of IMC and sticks to reach 2600mT/s, after few errors, i found the correct voltage for me (IMC: 1.090V=1.096V effective, RAM: 1.28V= 1.26-1.272V effective) and the PC boots perfectly fine, i did some memtest with testmem5 and XTU integrated mem bench and everything right. Y played games and again neither a blue screen nor unexpected blocked programs. If a turn on de PC through windows, or even when a enforce the turn off, always when a i turn on the PC the speed is working just like a set up. But when a i manually reset through windows, even when the system is working fine, the mother delays to start. My motherboard has 4 phases of boot, CPU>DRAM>VGA>BOOT. When a restart, it stays in DRAM and few times after starts and it reconfings the sticks to 2133mT/s. The only way to restore the 2400 or 2600 is clear CMOS. Why is happening this? Is it Windows?. Thanks for reading
@Miyconst3 жыл бұрын
I think I have had a few similar issues with too tight timings. In some cases it helped to manually set all timings, so the PC doesn't have to figure it out itself. In the other cases I had to relax the timings in order to make it boot / reboot 100% stable. Regarding a video about myself.. I don't think many will be interested, and publishing a video with little views is very bad for the channel due to the stranger KZbin algorithms. For example, if I publish a popular video, KZbin suddenly starts to promote my old videos as well, but if I publish a niche technical thing with just a few views, KZbin stops promoting even the popular videos.
