I’ve shot a bunch of 400 and 800 in 35mm and love it. Not sure how much it differs from 120, though. Adding some Lomo to your film care package that I’m bringing to Australia. 😂. Gotta help you make more bangers.

Nice one Blake. I also had light leaks when using lomo film. Was using my girlfriend’s hair bands to secure the finished roll. Pain in the arse 😂
@blvkeinnes2 ай бұрын
@@rayjubb8726 how strange but I’m glad I’m not alone! I found it bizarre because I had recently done the light seals in the Pentax.

I’ve had the same issue with the adhesive strip coming apart near the end of a roll on Lomo Metropolis and it almost caused a significant jam in my Makina 67 that prevented the shutter advance from functioning

Great video! Love the shots. That Pentax 6x7 is too cool. Pretty sure that film is just Kodak Gold 800. The same film Kodak uses in their disposable cameras.

I tried Lomo 800 in 35mm. Very expensive and was using a reflector outdoors. It came out nice. Many like it better than Portra 800.

@@thevoiceman6192 that is excellent to hear!! I’m putting together a more professional 35mm camera at the moment and then I can start testing different 35mm stocks as well and Lomo 800 is already on the list! I’m glad you had a positive shooting experience with it as well!

Love the colors you were able to get out of the Lomo! Were these scanned by a lab or yourself?

I love Lomo 800, been using it with my rb67. I'm lucky tho, in canada I get a roll for the equivalent of $13.24 AUD tax included. It's been sold out for a couple months & I kinda wish i got a few more rolls

@@luisparedes7429 that is so cool!! Great price and the RB is an awesome setup. I use to have one but wanted to go to the SLR setup. I think everyone wishes they always got a few more rolls haha

@@blvkeinnes haha always! The median salary in Australia is $20,000 more than Canada so I guess it's all relative lol I love the RB67, how it's modular & fully mechanical, but especially that I can switch out the film backs. BUT there's something about that Pentax 67 that I love so much!
@blvkeinnesАй бұрын
@@luisparedes7429 I do envy being able to swap the film backs!! I’d feel like a Wild West cowboy with holsters full of film if that was the case!! I think both cameras sport lenses at a very high quality!

I'm always afraid they wont stick & unravel. I saw someone keep a bunch of little braiding hair elastics around a spare 120 spool & wrap one around the roll to keep it sealed. I've been doing that ever since

@@luisparedes7429 I think I’m going to have to step my game up and do the same. I can’t risk them unraveling again!

Yo I wouldn’t be shooting film in Australia then lol. Those prices are so astronomically higher than any other country that it doesn’t sound like a smart financial decision😅. Maybe if I was making 300k a year, I would. 3 pack of lomo 400 in 120 is about 4000 yen which I guess is about 35USD or something
@blvkeinnes2 ай бұрын
@@peruperu-jj8zs you ain’t wrong!!! It is very expensive but I personally understand the costs and I have taken that into consideration in terms of the future of my photography journey! I might have to move next door to the Kodak factory to save on costs 😅
