Nice! This really helps a lot. I've lost orientation when getting far away and it's nice to see I an switch to HL and have it return.

GReat..... I have actually gone totally to manual when I am filming now....PHantastic machine. I can see you are having great fun with it as well.... I will soon get som nice wild scenery movies out filmed in the Faroe Islands. Still a litle concerned flying over water, but getting more risk taking... :)

Thanks for the videos!! I have had my DJI Phantom for less than a week and haven't had a chance to try the Course and Home lock features. I need to get that set up as the HL features looks especially useful.

Great tips! Good idea to test fly at low altitude, and put contact info. on the drone. Happy flying! -Scott

Something worth mentioning in your video is the 10mtr rule when in Home Lock mode as the controller will automatically switch into Course Lock mode when you come back to 10mtrs from the recorded Home position. It can be confusing for those that don't no about it and cause disorientation in your flight.

I will start work on that tonight mate, I want to make sure I get it 100% right so as not to crash everyones phantoms.

IOC is meant to be used when the phantom is far and cannot see it's orientation(not just for beginners). For me Homelock is what sold me in buying the phantom2 and love that feature!

I personally use Sony Vegas Pro 11, its very powerful and easy to use, you can learn very easy from watching tutorials on youtube
@ohnoitsfraa11 жыл бұрын
You can if you use Parallels or VMWare Fusion, I use my Macbook while I'm traveling so I had to find something to connect my Phantom to the Mac. You'll need a copy of Windows 7 or 8 to install the OS though, but it works flawlessfly once it's setup.

IOC (CL) and HL need to be enabled by connecting it to you're computer, it is disbaled when it come from factory. download the phantom assistant software and connect the phantom to the PC.

Nice vid. I've just bought the T8J and I just wanted to confirm something. Is the power for the rx supplied thru the s-bus lead or do I need to plug in a separate cable? I know this may sound dumb but I'm still new to this, thanks

Very nice video and explanation of the different modes. The manual is not very clear on the real effects of these modes. They really should do something about the poor grammar in these manuals :) Thanks for sharing.

That doesn't look like the standard controller that comes with a DJI Phantom. Can you tell us what kind it is and where we can get one. Most importantly, I'm color blind and can't tell the difference between the yellow and green blinking lights. Does the display tell you if you have a GPS home lock?
