andrewr022488 I watch and sub to all of those channels. BRS got me with the BRS160 and there detailed product reviews. Everyone has there favorite channels but honestly the BRS videos are the only ones I watch several times. Joey from DIY King is just fun to watch and has great info for the hobby. As to the other channels they go to shows and show what they do with there tanks. I like to see products tests by the same place and product challenges. Hands down BRS has the most product info!!!

Wow! Way to go, BRS tv! I've been running the primes for about 9 months with more emphasis on the blues more than anything else. Couldn't get my zoa's to open up to save my life. Even threw in some ATI coral + and a blue +. Nothing. Just watched your video and decided to switch the Primes over to AB+ settings running them 7 hours a day with one hour ramp up and ramp down. I love the color and I honestly have never seen my zoas open up like this. SPS. Just hours after I'm starting to notice more coloration in a couple corals that faded out. Decided to run some PAR numbers. Right at 300 with the T5 supplementing. Great job guys 👍🏼. Guarantee that you just made many reefers lives much easier

This sounds like what I am trying to achieve. How many Primes/T5s are you running and what size tank. Mine is 80 gallon (48" long x 18" wide) and I was thinking of three Primes and two T5s. Your thoughts?

kevin helfrich I currently have a 65 Gallon 36"x. 18". I'm running two AI primes in AB+ mode as suggested here and two sun blaster 36" T5 bulbs. One blue + and one Coral +. All of the lights sit about 8" above the water to lee good spread with the Primes and all of my Acros are sitting about 6" below the waterline. Right where they are at directly under the Primes, my par is sitting at about 270. That's with the T5's being used for the past 6 months. For your 80 Gallon I would suggest 4 Prime HD's with two T5's or do do two Primes with 4 T5's. That will give you the par, spread and spectrum you need

I currently run two AI HD Primes on a 75 Gallon Tank. I am getting good lps growth and color, but I have trouble with some SPS. My wife and I happen to like the looks of the lights on the Living Room Display. This video has made me want to try a couple more, rather than sell these and get replacement lighting. This video came out at a perfect time, I had one of these lights I hadn't fitted to my tank and as a result of your great videos I was able to set it up easily and make use of the acclimation feature to ramp it up to setting I was able to select based on your guidance.

I love these lights. I have seen my lfs run them on one of their display tanks with great growth. I bro uses ai on his 90gal and acros grow like weeds in his tank. O have given him brown and dying acros to him and with them ai the color came back and growth. So when i decided to get a new light i went and purchased the hydra 52 hd for my 60. Been on my 60 for about 5 months things look great. Love how easy the app is to set the lights. You all are awesome keep up the amazing work

I would love to see this with Radion XR15's. Some say for a full blown SPS 50 cube you'd be set with 4 Ai Primes, but only 2 XR15 Radions. I'd like to see that covered.

I NEED SOME ADVICE. You guys are really covering some great topics super relevant to me. I have a couple cheep Chinese LED lights similar to what you covered last week. Had then for 2.5 years and they do grow corals, but they don't color them up like my old 4 bulb T5s did. My tank is 80 gallon (48"long x 18"wide) and I've been wanting to add 2 T5 bulbs to my LEDs, but don't have the room because of the large form factor of the black box. I was thinking of going with a row of three AI Primes for good spread with one T5 in front and one T5 behind. I have a mixed reef now but I am thinking of getting more into SPS dominant. Would three Primes and two T5s give enough PAR? I don't know how much PAR each T5 gives off. For about the same price I could get two Hydra 26s, giving me more PAR with 4 pucks. Don't know if I should go with three Primes for better spread, or two Hydra 26s for more PAR. Please help!

I think it would be a neat idea to have a huge array of these smaller lights with the ones on the far edges angled a bit towards the center then set up a profile to have lights turn on from the edge first at a higher values and lower elsewhere then simulate the Sun crossing the sky by ramping up brightness near the middle, then the reverse process. But man that would be fairly cost prohibitive for me. And really might be too much overkill considering our tanks grow just fine with static lighting that does not move at all.

I have this light on a 24” cube tank and works great other than at 7 pm everyday it tends to dim. The sunset is not set until 9 and I’ve reset the light details multiple times and it still won’t stay the same light level. Plz respond if you know how to fix this problem!

Trying to put these settings right now - How do you specifically set the intensity? I understand the UV is 119% Etc.... is it really as easy as just cutting that in half to around 60% on the bars? Trying to set this up for a NUVO 10 with Softies and LPS. How much ramp up and ramp down time do ya'll do? Are you keeping it an even intensity throughout the day?

I run 4 HD 26's over a 4' sps dom tank but I've been running basically at 14k 65% and my corals seem to respond well. but I may check out what these settings look like. I always worry about overkill although I also once ran 4 halide 250's 2x10k 2x14k over my reef..

Hi guys. I have an experiment you can do. Was wondering if you could test two ai primes side by side verses a hydra. Both two pucks of LEDs, both on same light settings. I have a feeling the two primes will outperform as they equal a total 110w. 15 more than a hydra. Similar experiment for four pucks.

Hello would you recommend the ai prime settings listed in this video for a 40 gallon innovative marine tank? I have to ai primes and did the exact settings and algae was growing like crazy, than I cut the settings listed in this video and still seem to have lots of green algae growth on the rocks. Phosphates are in check, run sachem phosban, feed very sparingly and do weekly 5 gallon water changes. Also stock is only a pair of clown fish so I'm sure it is light related. Any recommended light settings, corals are all lps

How big of an impact is the center brace on a 75-gal going to have when trying to use 3 primes? Is it going to end up with a big shadow in the middle?

It very likely will create a shadow if the Prime was mounted directly over the brace. It might be best to run two on either side of the brace instead, or use two Hydra 32s instead.

Im planning on purchasing the IM Fusion 40 gallon tank with tank specs of 24 wide x16 front to back x19 Deep. I have an Idea what one AI Prime HD can do, however I purchased 2. So I plan on using 2 on this tank, wondering how the par levels are effected? I assume it increases? But by how much, I doubt it doubles par lol. Just wondering how that works, as Im hoping for a mix reef with sps corals as well as a clam or 2.

A1 LIGHTSI haven't have much luck with them, I purchased two lights, I sent one back because I stopped working, and not even two months of operation and it broke dawn again., every thing else works as well as expected, however, the AI will have to be sent it back, which it will disruptive situation for my big tank. My current reef light configuration consists of two Aqua Illumination's Hydra Fifty-two HD and 4 T5 ATI blubs 2 Blue plus, and 2 Coral plus blubs on two retrofit kits. Just curious if you're planning on putting the AI hydra fifty-two thur the same paces. Additionally, I found the Prime HD setting extremely useful my setting are slightly off the mark, but close enough. Thanks for such an informative video

Darn. I gotta by an EcoTech. I was wondering why my bubble tips where still reaching for light (it seems) even though I feel like I’m blasting them with the Ab+ settings you guys created, I see here this is definitely not enough par and likely the reason none of my sticks ever survived long term. So I’ve been thinking about what you said like all day. While I do like the functionality of my AI Prime HD, I want to make sure I make an informed decision before I go buying new fixtures. I currently have two Snowflake bubble tip anemones in my Waterbox Cube 15... and I’m getting a lot of mixed information through the forums and internet searches. The tank is 15x15x15 and the Prime puck is about 8” off the water surface on a flex mount. I’m using your AB+ settings you discuss in this video. Do you think that is adequate or to high or too low, or even better; do you have a recommendation for a setting? I don’t have any other coral yet, but would like to have some scolys and maybe zoas on my sand bed in the future. I wanted to have some SPS but with the nems I think it’s risky with this size of tank. My nems go from bubbly to stringy back and forth all day and seem ok. It’s hard to gauge what they don’t like. My water is stable, but the light is bugging me. Please let me know if you have a recommendation.

The AI Prime seems to me, what would fit most of the reefers I know personally the best. The C-channel mounting allows for some very interesting installs with regards to zoning and DIY t5ho hybrid setups. I can imagine a 40 breeder with two primes on one side, spaced close together, dialed up for SPS. Then one far to the other side dialed down for softies and shrooms. LPS somewhere in between. Add two t5s for supplement and well......something to think about. Thanks again for another awesome video guys😀

Hey an awesome video for investigates would be a lupyled video this light is the closest thing I’ve seen to a single led light that creates a blanket of diffused light with one led fixture that seems to cover t5esc thing has crazy control ability but is rediculously expensive I got quoted $6000 bucks for 1 5ft fixture delivered... not an amount of money I want to spend on a light without knowing if it can handle an sps dominant tank... come on brs investigate this for us!!
