Couldn't you just run a wire from the cars fuse box and have it on a switch?

The evaporator would freeze. The computer sends a pulse width modulated duty cycle to the solenoid to control the temperature based off of sensor inputs. 100 percent on would freeze all water vapor or humidity to the evaporator eventually air can not pass through it.
