The skylight looks much more sleeker and less cluttered. Since you have the PAR meter, you could probably do a video testing all the lights. Ive been searching the internet for PAR readings for WRGB 2 Slim but could never find it😅

yea I notice that unlike other areas (i.e. indoor farming), the aquascaping scene still uses lumens a lot when they should be using PAR as the measurement type

One of the best led unit on the market , used by many famous aquascaper including the iaplc 2022 Grand Champion Matthew Manes. It’s like an Ada Solar RGB but with more power, app control and ofc correct price. The colors and growth you get from this unit is insane, I wonder if the UV plays a role but I’m very happy with mine, running it for 22 months now 👍 If you don’t like the Ada solar ripoff look; Week aqua offers many others units that have an more traditional style with same led and performance

The original Skylight Hyperspot looked darker in the tank on camera, but cameras adjust automatically for light levels, so I can’t tell if that means anything. Are there any plants that you planted in the substrate that failed, or didn’t colour up fully? It would be meaningful to try those same plants again now.

I just ordered their Pandora 120cm unit for my 75 gallon (approximately 280 liter) tank. I can't wait to see how it does. Once you get lights with rich color rendition, it's hard to go back to the more traditional LED's sold for planted tanks.

Lux meter is good test, would like to have seen a power test as well. If you put it on 60% what amount does it still draw? And is the 140 watt really 140 watt. With times like these you understand it's getting more important to know these metrics. With regards to price: Do LEDs age different then t5 or t8 lights? I had to replace my lightbulbs every year to keep plants growing. If you have to do this with the LEDs then 400 euros isnt that cheap

Seems to be the only light maker putting in UV A LEDs, that's what the +20 is I'm assuming. Can't seem to find much information about the benefits with regards to freshwater plants and fishes though, only thing I know is that's important for reptiles and useful for for terrestrial plants. Not even sure if UV A penetrates water in any meaningful way. Also, thanks for the PAR measurement, that's so important, because in reality lumens and watts are not very useful

With no doubt, Week Aqua products are great. They are relatively low-priced and yield considerable amount of light. However, their products do not come with no flaws. A lot of these lights come with higher probability of initial faults, and for some reason, their light bulbs do not last a long time. After a year of two of use, you will find yourself looking for new products to switch to. Keep these in mind when you are looking to buy these products. However, because their prices are low, light yield is powerful and are made RGB leds, they are by far the best for beginners in this hobby.
