I’m late to post Steff, but I have to say this foundation is beautiful. I have dryer more mature textured skin and this doesn’t just give a nice amount of coverage but also improves and smooths the texture problems I have better than 98% of all the other foundations I’ve tried while providing the good coverage. Most other higher coverage foundation either do nothing for my texture these days or even emphasize it! I have the 2C which runs slightly darker than her 2C in her other formulas and it’s a true cool. I still have to use setting powder on T zone but this new Laura Mercier is just wonderful. I like the luminous matte category as well. I have dry skin but don’t like the full on glow of many dry skin foundations, so this category is a nice in between. This foundation looks lovely on you, personally I prefer higher coverage though.

All of these brands need to work on undertones. It's 2023. Neutral isn't supposed to be super warm or even warm at all. Even the cools are warm. They figure people will buy it, won't return it and buy another one or something. It's getting ridiculous with the shades. Makes me mad.

Couldn't agree with you more AND I'd love to see olive undertones recognised by all brands. Obviously, I have olive undertones and it's so difficult finding foundations with this as a choice.

Oooo that’s a good one! I’ve been reaching for Eaze Drop Lately too. I think Eaze Drop is probably better for those with full on oily skin when compared to this one. Idk I’m gonna have to wear this one again to makeup up my mind.

My perfect match is 2W1 which has a lovely golden undertone. I also tried 2N1 which had more pink and was a true Neutral imo. So strange that the cool shade did pull warmer on you. It reminds me of the Hourglass in finish - thin but almost med-full coverage. I couldn’t find a HG shade match so I am really happy with this. It is so hard to find a good fragrance free foundation. I see why it’s good for oily types. I do still prefer her Lumiere foundation which is creamier and glides over any dry patches and lines. Sadly it is disappearing 😢

I watched the video this morning. I would like to try the Laura Mercier foundation in the future. I bought a tube of the wet n wild tinted hydrator at Walgreens this afternoon. I am battling a moderate case of rosacea. I am changing my skincare products. I ordered Vanicare Facial cleanser from Amazon. I hope it helps.

A fellow Houstonian and I also have combo skin and totally "get" the comments about a foundation holding up in our heat and humidity. The foundation does look gorgeous on you. It is almost exactly one year since you posted this. Do you still wear it? Still, recommend? My HG is the Lancome Care & Glow yet I am always looking for the perfect foundation. Great review💖👍🏻🥰

I know about high costs for shipping, especially for shipping international. But overall I think that's a good thing. Makes me, and hopefully other people too, reconsider purchasing abroad. I know I have done it several times in the past, but it does feel a bit ridiculous, ordering make up that has to fly halfway across the world for it's new owner. To be honest, it's getting a bit hard to justify, with the climate and all. I mean, they do sell make up in my own country, too. No judgement on anybody, I have done it too, KZbin influences me too, but in these times, I really don't think we should take it lightly to order a product from a different country or otherwise flighthours away. So I think it's a good thing shipping is getting so expensive.

This isn't recommended for dry skin types, so I'm going to pass - it would be great if I could try it and have the option to return, it if it didn't work out though. Unfortunately, we (UK) have a zero returns policy on cosmetics. I've heard it's very similar to the PM foundation, do you think so? This looked sooooooooooo good on you. Yes, it was a little too dark but, come summertime, it will be perfect 👍👍👍 Loadsa love to you 💙💚💙💚💙💚

Hallo Steff, I was looking forward to this review. Laura Mercier is kinda a trigger ugh for me. Her last foundation was one of the worst foundations I have tried with believe beauty and flower. But seeing this on you I am thinking to revisit this brand maybe it was just a bad jar. No matter what I did it caked and slipped off my nose area And chin. Thank you. I am thinking maybe go in store and match and buy it next week. 💚

I’m having trouble finding a shade…tried 3N1 first and it was too dark. Swapped it for 2N1 and it’s too light. Quite a jump between them. I’ve tried a few stores but like you mentioned, they don’t have all of the shades, which has been a trend at my Sephora with many foundations and seems so bizarre to me. Going to give up on this one for now until I can see all of the shades in person somewhere. Maybe Nordstrom will get it soon!

Looks like you have a filter on but I know you don’t! Sucks the color range is off the best most neutral, (I’m cool) foundation I’ve found is actually the revlon illumination. I got shade 217 it’s beige I believe and it’s super cool! Can’t believe the shade range is so good. I think I’m going to pick up the makeup by Mario this week and kosas foundation for a daily wear.

Agree that they all seem to run warm except 1C1. I swatched so many shades, and I just don't have a perfect match in this. 😭 I think a mix of 1C1 and 1C2 could work, but that would be almost $100. It's one of the very few foundations that doesn't contain ingredients I'm allergic to. 🥲

It’s a beautiful foundation but I would just buy 1 shade and use bronzer or foundation darkening drops to deepen it up if it’s too light.
