Today on Dirt Lifestyle we finally test our Off-road mini cooper! The Gambler 500 is an outstanding gathering of great folks for a good cause. I can't wait to got back next year! As for the mini cooper, I'm going to fix it and give it some redemption in an upcoming video. I REALLY want to get this car back on the dunes.

My big takeaway from this series is that I can get a relatively late model mini cooper for much cheaper than I expected. I don't want build for the Gambler but DO like the idea of making an "offroad go-kart" so to speak. Maybe I should just look at a Renegade.

Yeah the supercharged ones are fun cars I own one that has the JCW kit and I’m treating it real good. Most problems I had involved the abs sensors and a timing chain tensioner. Problems that are cheap and easy to fix

JB WELD -- Always keep it near. I glued an exhaust manifold to an aluminum head on a presuure washer. It lasted for years before the bolts finally pulled out.

This year I Gambled with a Subaru Legacy and the rear strut spring pad blew apart and I "fixed" it just like this. I happened to have a couple blocks of wood 4×4's and I stuffed one in there and secured it with some big zip ties.

They said they are upgrading. But now that the gambler is over budget will no longer be included in the build strategy. I'm only concerned about what it will take to make this Mini Cooper one of a kind and reliable. I'm going to move on to a more reputable manufacturer 👍
