This is a feature from Growing Together that I think is kinda sweet: if you have a blended family say and mum marries a man with a child she can then click on that child once they have a good relationship and choose to "Adopt" the child. This isn't "Adopt as Caregiver;" it's a separate option and when you do this, the mum (or dad) will pull out a little note and read from it while sounding official and once done, the child will be added to the family tree as an official child of both sims. It's cute!

If your sim's bladder need is very low, you can force them to fart (usually takes a couple of times) and they'll shit themselves. There's even a special moodlet 😐

I’ve not finished the video yet but the “research genealogy” action *does* have the chance to spawn a cousin for your sim. You have to let them stay with you in order to have them actually part of the household. It’ll prompt a stay over and just be a slightly different version of your sim. It’s not every time though. Some games I’ve had it soon after one interaction, other times I’ve never got it even after 5 times so it’s definitely random. But you’d know pretty much right after you finish the interaction. I think it might help if you don’t spam it

Pretty sure you'll know about it, but the ability to listen to space woohoo shocked me when it showed up as an option! If you have some sims woohoo in a rocket on a lot with a computer, another sim can click on the computer and listen. I don't know if it adds moodlets, I was too busy laughing at the possibility!

Did you know if you travel to oasis springs and go to a sandy lot..if you click on the ground you can draw in the sand? I just found that out yesterday while playing…your sims can draw a smily face and a star. :) (anyone can do this even just with basegame)

The doctor toy does give a mood buff when you play as a doctor as an adult, I've defiantely seen it. But it pops up kind of at random? I wanna say while you're at work. I'm not sure you used the right toy, though, you used the doctor bear toy instead of the doctor baby, and I'm unsure if that one gives the mood buff or if that one gives the mood buff to a vet.

Playing with the child doctor set does work but you have to do it a lot at a child. Your sims will get a happy mood buff while they are working not only as a doctor but also running a vet clinic.

I recently learned that if you click on a basketball hoop and choose "Dream Big" your Sim gains fitness skill at a faster rate. It's almost meteoric if they live in tier 1 or 2 tiny home.

You can slide down ladders (the ones that go between floors, not pool ladders) instead of climbing down. You can clone people with the cloning machine from the science career. You can assemble those totem things from Jungle Adventure and use them to buff, transform, or kill sims, depending on what you combine. There are several ways to write songs, and if you release them, there's a chance your sim will hear them on the radio and get a buff.

One thing I didn’t know until a week ago, was that you can unlock a grilled cheese aspiration. You have to eat 3 grilled cheese in a row and then you will gain it!! After completing a certain amount of things, you can talk to other sims about grilled cheese and eventually you can summon a grilled cheese whenever you want!! When I discovered that, I thought it was really cool!!

I saw that you can essentially spawn an urban myth (bloody Mary) in a mirror if you have high enough mischief. You do "summon urban myth" i think with another sim. The first time it scares the person you show, the second you. And the third time you die.

its actually a little different. you need to fail the interaction, which will give you a moodlet! after that, if you try again with the moodlet, you die :) its like a demented version of the cowplant!

My sims always just randomly pull out umbrellas. Either that, or they get an uncomfortable moodlet, but you can immediately get rid of it by clicking on them and choosing "change out of wet clothes". I didn't even know you could get an umbrella stand lol

Have you ever tried beetle juice in the sims 4? You need a insect farm with beetles [eco lifestyle, if I remember correctly] and level 10 in mixology You have to collect bettles [I don't remember how much] and with them you can create a Beetle juice [drink]. If you drink 3 in a raw you'll turn into a ghost.

I just discovered recently that if your child has a partner in crime and you have them plan a certain prank, they will actually pull it in school and they'll get a moodlet and a pop up about how the prank went. I thought it was the cutest when I found out 😂

I feel like they tuned the long lost relative thing because it used to happen all the time when Growing Together was new but I haven't had it happen in ages. It's supposed to be a stayover event and it will create a cousin that looks like a clone of your sim. The sim who they're a clone of gets a tense "doppleganger" moodlet around them.

If you do a Part Two, one thing you could show is that: If you have a broken sink/toilet/tub leaving water puddles on the ground and you enter Build/Buy mode, you can use the swatch change tool to change the shape of the puddle on the ground. One of the shapes is a ducky, and it's very cute. I saw this recently on Tiktok, but it's the only mention I've seen of it, so I don't think it's very well known!

If you have the Eco Living pack (I think that's the one that comes with the bug boxes), your toddlers can take care of the bugs. They can feed and nurture them. It is....something else to watch your little toddler cuddling a grub. LOL

SO ANOUT THE CERTIFICATE. It’s supposedly for every skill in the skills class after TEN classes, but there was a glitch for a really long time where no matter what skill it was, it gave a mixology one. But, again supposedly, that glitch was fixed!

Not sure if you've heard of this before, but someone told me that if you have an urn in a sim's inventory and then have them use the podium there's an option to give a eulogy sort of like a funeral type thing...haven't tried it yet, but if it's true that's pretty neat. I didn't know about the book reading one, that's something I'm going to start doing for my author sims. I did have my vampire sim research her geneaology just once, not long after I got a phone call from a distant relative who asked to stay over...looked quite similiar to my vampire's facial features, her traits were somewhat different and my vamp got the moodlet "Doppleganger?!" but then they became friends so guess she's not worried. A lot of actually interesting things you can do in The Sims 4...thanks for testing them out! Would love to see you make a series on this, trying out more things we didn't know we could do in game.

If you have snowy escape and place a shoe rack in your household you have the options for all sims in your house to wear shoes, slipper, or go barefoot. My personal favorite mood boosting hack to place an incense from the Spa Day pack and set the atmosphere.

Umbrella, Yes, I place on every lot that I play, But most of all I place it in the Dorms in Britechester/Foxbury cause Sims stand outside in the rain after class because they fail to return to the dorms. The doctor set one definitely works. Not just for the Doctor career either, but if your sim becomes a vet you get a similar moodlet. You have to play with the set a lot as a child and attend an active workday to see the moodlet but I've done it.

The long-lost relative situation has happened to my sims three or four times. The relative (cousin) randomly calls and asks to pay your sim a visit for a few days, if you agree, they show up on your doorstep with a suitcase. The relatives are basically clones of your sims, but with randomly generated outfits and traits.

for the mirror selfie you can cancel the 'freshen up' action and it will automatically take you to the picture mode. so you don't have to wait till the action is over and can cancel it when you get the right pose!

The Doctor Career sentiment mood buff only happens once the sim reaches a certain point in the Doctor Career. I can’t remember which point though. I’ve only done it once, but it felt like at least a week in sims time, after doing all the effort for promotions. Two small things I’ve recently stumbled upon in my gameplay: 1. Infants can “wiggle to music” after they’ve reached the milestone where the can sit up on their own. It’s so adorable and I don’t understand why it’s not its own milestone. 2. Toddlers can break into locked doors. If you have a room locked please, have a toddler break in. The animation is hilarious.

I had a stay-over guest, who looked similar to my Sim, who apparently was a "long lost relative". It happened randomly though through the stay-over mechanism and independently from the genealogy research. It being the Sims 4 though, she did not appear in the Family tree (although, it could be because the Sim was Gen 1 and had no parents, siblings or the like, but I doubt it). I went into Full Edit CAS Mode and generated some parents, an aunt (identical twin to the mother) and made her a cousin. I deleted the parents and aunt, so she actually disappeared from the family tree again, but at least when you hover over her, it says cousin. Also, my Sim then had twins! I'd like to think because her mother had one (although briefly and through CAS), but it was probably a coincidence (but there were no lot traits, reward traits, moodlets or anything to increase the likelihood of twins, so the jury is still out.)

for dancing on counter: you have to drink couple drinks, then click to a counter that have free space. I suppose it doesn't work on tables. But I know that it definitely works on counters. you have to try it! I hope you do a part 2 of this. love your videos!

The genealogy one works, it doesn’t give you a buff or immediate notification but if it triggers then you get a pop up that says they tested their dna and they’re your long lost relative and want to stay over to get to know you, and if you a agree they come over for 4 days and if you look at their profile it says they’re your cousin!!!!!!

if you have the snowy escape pack you can buy a shoe rack and click it to decide if your sim takes off their shoes when inside. also (same pack) you can click the stove(or maybe the fridge?) and decide if your sim uses a fork or chopsticks

As an aspiring writer, I wish either they just updated the writing process or, what’s more likely, get a mod that includes the many IRL hurdles to writing and publishing, imagine how crowded our libraries had every book ever written because they were all successfully published, irl there’s statistically about a 2% chance an agent takes on your manuscript (the quality of your novel greatly increase your chance of being in that percentage). Obviously in the sims it would be easier but I just wish it was more fun! Imagine if based on the different genres, pop ups could occur that provide buffs/debuffs for example: You’re favourite side character has caused a big plot hole on your narrative, if you keep writing as you are none of your story will make sense. What should you do?: 1.Write around side character. It will make sense I promise! (increase writing speed for this project, decrease in quality and chance of publishing, Decrease chance of higher advance and royalties) 2. Rewrite early sections so your character fits in correctly. (Decrease in writing speed for this project, increase in chance of publishing and higher advance and royalties )

I have gotten the mood buff for the doctor career. I am not sure how many times I played with the toy first. I also think the geology piece only works for adopted Sims. I have seen that first hand.❤❤ Great video. ❤❤❤❤

Thebar has to he a counter top if i recall it correctly and it can work on regular drinks not the juice one. Base gamers can do it. If i recall. I might be thinking sims 3 here. But pretty sure it was a sims 4 to
