It’s going to take about 4 washes for the hair to start holding a curl. I purchased some hair from beauty forever once and it did the same exact thing. The hair had some type of coating on it that hindered it from holding a curl. I washed the hair once a week with neutralizer shampoo for four weeks and stripped the coating off of the hair.

Loved this video. 😍😍 I have the “hair doesn’t wanna hold a curl” problem way to often when the hair is super duper soft and silky, I use a light hair spray (light meaning not heavy on the hair residue wise) with a strong hold BEFORE I hand curl and then again before I wrap it in the flexi rod. I get a longer hold out of the curl that way. Nothing beats hair that just HOLDS a curl on its own but sometimes you get a nice soft set of hair that you have to force to hold a curl 😂 hope that made sense.

Gorchess TIGI catwalk, a brand from ulta is a good place to start, or Redken has a light weight holding spray I adore. I cannot remember the name but I’d start with those two brands.

try a soft hairspray on the hair when you have the curls in the flexi rods over night, it may help hold them longer. Also don't brush the curls out so much, just finger comb them a lil and let them drop on their own. That could possibly help with the curls staying longer. but your frontals be on point hun
