I filmed this in 4K. Only downside is that after I upload it KZbin takes a long time to process it. So may be stuck with 1080p for a few hours, lol. Enjoy!

You said that you unplug the power from the Kato and plug it into the DCC power. What did you use for a plug on the DCC that you could plug the Kato end into it? Did you cut a different Kato wire? I'm trying to find out where to get male and female connectors that mate with the Kato plugs. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

The Kato plugs are basically Mini Tamiya plugs. I just bought some of those and put the same connection on a little pigtail that plugs into the screw terminals on my DCC++EX system. Tat way I can just plug the kato Unitrack connecter right into the DCC++EX Pigtail. I made identical little pigtails for all of my other DC and DCC connectors as well. It may take some trial and error to find plugs that are 100% compatable. I ordered some generic Mini Tamiya connectors off of Amazon and the female side was just like 1-2 thousands oversized and wouldn't fit into the male connector but it'd work the other way around. At that point it requires a little fine fitting with small files, hobby knife, etc. But the Kato track feeder wire has no problems with the aftermarket Tamiya mini plug on the other side.

Shane, do you shop at pa pa Ben's?

I'd never heard of it. Looks like it is down in Houston. I may have to check it out next year on my way down to or back from Galveston.

@@Trains-With-Shane They have a ton of n scale but sometimes expensive. Consignment prices aren't bad though.

@@joeystrains.9316 I was just looking at their consignment section. Not bad. They've got some of those BLI SD70ace Heritage units but they're about $70 more expensive than i've seen them in other places.

What do U think of DCC++EX. I found it to be good. Like the switching layout. I think you need a couple of industries for it. This way U have something to put on your cards. Great video by the way .

I really like DCC++EX. There is a LOT you can do with it that I haven't gotten into yet, though like using it with JMRI, etc. I just use it with an app on my phone. But I do have a ProtoThrottle that I plan on setting up for it as well.

Also if/when I get things set up on my actual layout I plan on having a few industries. But for now I will just have numbered positions to spot cars at. Steve's Trains has a video on how he does his switching games on his inglenook layouts and that's how I plan to do mine.
